Porth cove hotel is excellent. Jim and Yvonne are excellent hosts and couldnt tend to the guests needs any more than they did. Clean, light and airy rooms. Mouthwatering breakfasts and a well stocked bar too.

Really enjoyable and value for money

This was my first time staying in a b&b in Cornwall after coming and camping for years before. I have to say I found it to be extremely homely, was made to feel so welcome and comfortable. The owners are some of the nicest people I have ever met and are willing to help you in anyway. the hotel itself is so clean and fresh and the rooms are presented perfectly (cleaned everyday also) breakfast was perfect and cooked so well while presenting a variety of options. The placement of porth cove between watergate and newquay is excellent, close enough for a walk around newquay, far enough away to avoid noise, traffic etc. the view from the hotel is perfect, a beach literally 1 minute down the hill, and a lovely walk just over the road. would honestly reccomend to anyone and would definitley stay here again! Brilliant!

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. We were a party of 6, one being my two and a half year old little girl who loved it, especially the bucket & spade that was left on her bed for her arrival. A lovely touch. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the views are amazing, the owners make you feel really welcome and the breakfast was first class. We would really recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

We recently stayed here as part of a large walking group.

We felt very welcome. We checked in early and left a little late. Were very accommodating to our 6month baby.

Breakfast was filling and well organised. Free wifi was fast and easy.

We would stay again.

Rooms are very comfortable, excellent cooked breakfast, Yvonne and Jim made us feel very welcome and the views are stunning. We can thoroughly recommend this hotel. There is a very large breakfast room combined with a sea view lounge area. The bar room also has a sea view and the car parking area is large and secluded to the rear of the hotel

My husband and I went to Newquay with our daughter (nearly 2 years old) and had a lovely, stress-free getaway. Excellent location just two minute's walk from the beach and a couple Km from Newquay centre, so quite yet convenient. We had originally booked for 2 nights but stayed for 3 even though we had to change rooms.

The first room we were in was the 4-poster room on the first and it was absolutely lovely. Gorgeous view of the ocean, very spacious and clean and they even provided a little sand castle kit for our little one.

The second room on the second floor was smaller, but still plenty of room for the cot and had a lovely view as well. Both rooms were great! The only thing negative I would comment on is that the curtains are very light in both rooms and the sun shines in very early, even though they're south facing.

The breakfast was fantastic made-to-order fry-ups however with plenty of juice, cereal, tea and coffee (in your own little press :) ). Yvonne and Jim were friendly and welcoming and gave us excellent advice on where to eat and local attractions.

Another great perk was the honesty bar. Well stocked, very reasonably priced and nice to just sit down stairs and watch the sunset while our toddler was asleep in our room at the top of the stairs. It was great not to have to worry about having cash and just help ourselves and settle up on check-out.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely stay there again :)
