Very beautiful beach ideal for surfers, plenty of space for everybody with a gorgeous walk along the cliff.

Visited in August and it was not the best weather but still fantastic view's Very clean beach and great local facilities, Truly a spectacle to behold and we cannot wait to visit again, we even visited when it was pouring with rain and even this did not dampen our's or anyone else's spirit's. The surfer's are hardcore riding wave's in the storm Newquay is beautiful and Fistral beach is a credit to the locals and travlelers who make it such a such a special place

Really bucket and spade destination - very clean and great to people watch. Disappointing however that there was litter around early morning - apparently the seagulls get into the black plastic sacks and scatter the litter - could the council attend to this problem?

My children loved it on this beautiful sandy beach. There's a nice beach hut to grab ice creams and milk shakes from, very reasonably priced. Beautiful when the sun is shining.

Fistral is a fun beach. Even to just stroll aimlessly and watch the surfers and the waves crashing about. It's a sandy beach with a few rocky areas which need to be summited at high tide but nothing someone with a bit of balance would struggle with. It has free parking down esplanade road but the cost of that is tiring yourself out on a stairs that lead down the beach. They aren't too steep and I saw a lot of elderly dog walkers charge up and down them without look phased by them at all! There is pay for parking at the opposite end where there is a restaurant with toiletries and various shops. There is a surf school in this area along with the quicksilver surf school at the bottom of the Esplanade hotel, just opposite the top of the stairs that lead down to the beach.
There are life guards stationed on this beach who regularly monitor the conditions and rips so you can feel safe if you listen to them. It's a shame that so many people feel the need to litter this beach. If you visit Fistral then be respectful and take a bag for your rubbish and clear up after your self. The water was clean and overall the beach felt clean but there was still litter, it was very busy during the school holiday times but you could still feel like you had the beach to yourself during a morning or evening stroll.
