We stayed in a hotel close to the beach for a couple of nights, sunset was impressive and there's plenty to do drink and food wise.

Surf looks good, and seemed to always be busy when we visited.

An iconic place to visit with stunning scenery that can be enjoyed by all ages. This is the home to The International Surfing Centre, catering for all from beginners to the Elite, where the biggest wave the Cribbar is only for the hardiest of surfers.
The beach is patrolled by RNLI lifeguards to maximise safety, they monitor sea conditions and fly the appropriate flag to inform the public.
Lots of things to do retail shops, bar and restaurants, also pet friendly, with lots of people exercising their dogs.
My personal favourite on a wind swept day was enjoying a pint of Cornish ale in the bar overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, with the waves crashing onto the cliffs.

Visited here while staying near Newquay and wanted somewhere for the dog to have a run about and a swim.
Parking is a little expensive.

Just to refresh the parking advice. Arrived 18.13hrs, very busy on a summer evening, found space, went to machine, not working found another, time past 18.30hrs therefore no charge. There are number plate recognition cameras, fined £60! Appealed and told that they considered 17 minutes long enough to park and pay. Oh and the fine is £100 if you fail to pay promptly. You have to pay from the time you enter the car park not when you get to the machine.
