We chose Fistral Spa for a girly spa day in January.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the facilities good, atmosphere relaxed.
The main floor has the pool, with jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, there is a compact but well equipped gym on the floor above, with the treatment rooms and the “relaxation room” above.
It’s a nice modern pool area – only really let down by too-small changing room. There are some lockers, 2 toilets, 2 changing cubicle and 2 showers, occupying quite a small space. Fine if there are 2-3 ladies in there, but too small for any more… when we were there although the spa was not particularly busy there were times when groups of 4 ladies would come in and there was nowhere near enough room for us all to be changing, showering, getting into lockers and so forth.
The relaxation room is really nice – comfortable furnishings, plenty of current magazines, drinks and healthy nibbles.
The treatments were good; great products, with pricing similar to other spas in Cornwall.
Between us we had the back, neck & shoulder massage, the luxury ESPA facial and the grapefruit and lime body salt and oil scrub - all excellent!
Lunch in the bar area was really nice too, and great views over Fistral Bay.
We really enjoyed our day, left happy & relaxed. We would happily return.

This is now my 3rd spa day at The Bay and I can't recommend them highly enough.
It starts from when you check in where you food order is taken to ensure lunch runs smoothly.
The choice for lunch is good and the food is nice. My only suggestion would be to vary the menu more to people who visit quite often.
The swimming pool, steam room, sauna etc are really clean with lovely decor.
The relaxation room and treatment rooms are so lovely deorated and the complimentary teas & dried fruit to tide you over until lunch are a great idea. The treatments are also amazing.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and you will leave there feeling like a million dollars!
I've never stayed at the hotel but I'm guessing if it's anything like the spa it'll be good.
Thanks The Bay keep up the good work!

I've been to the spa for a day treatment before and was so impressed. However this time the welcome drinks were self service in the spa not in the lovely bar area so not really that welcoming as we were told to go upstairs. The pool etc were good, but when it came to our lunch they forgot us then asked us to move having told us to sit anywhere, which was a bit odd. The food was amazing and the decor and location was great. The treatments were lovely but it lacked the customer service I would expect. I would go back, but with lower expectations.
