A group of eight slightly older gents spent a weekend staying at the Headland Hotel, which was a pleasure all-round. From the room to the spa, from breakfast to the bar I was most impressed with everything that the venue had to offer. The beach and town were very close and I would recommend The Headland for any occasion. I'll certainly be back - with my girlfriend this time.

My husband & I recently stayed for 3 nights, a lovely peaceful break away from work & the kids ! We both had treatments in the Spa which were amazing! The weather helped and it we had a very hot few days, using the outdoor pool & sitting out having lunch over looking Fistral Beach, it truly is the best place to stay in Newquay by far! Hotel Service was amazing, breakfast FIRST CLASS, the best brekkie we've ever had in a restaurant ! Staff were friendly. We did however have a very hot room and couldnt really get much air in ! We did ask for a fan but they were all being lent out. Also our room did not have black out blinds which wasnt great when they sun was shining through early in the morning ! Apart from that - our break was truly wonderful and I would stay here over and over again !

Thank you very much for your review.

I am so pleased you and your husband enjoyed a relaxing break with us complete with treatments in the spa.

I am sorry to hear that all our fans had been lent out when you asked for one. As you mentioned, we have had some very hot days this summer and we have now invested in many more fans should the hot weather continue.

Thank you also for your comments about our breakfast offering, we are proud to be in a position to offer very high quality produce sourced locally.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

kind regards,

Jamie

We can not fault this hotel. We have stayed a few times now for different occasions A Wedding, A couple of Birthdays, A weekend break, Christmas, and this time a Hen do. Each stay has been excellent No matter what the occasion the Headland staff handle it admirably and efficiently They are welcoming, friendly, helpful, and informative. The hotel is really lovely with a nice laid back relaxing atmosphere The food is superb Definately our favourite place to stay.

Me and my partner came to stay for a night whilst in Cornwall as our favourite film-The Witches was filmed here! The hotel itself is fantastic, so beautiful and such a picturesque location! The breakfast is THE BEST breakfast I have ever eaten in a hotel, the scrambled eggs were delicious (normally a watery mess in hotels) and the choice to order dishes to be cooked for you was great, the kippers were perfect! The night before we even had desserts sent up around midnight and this was not a problem, the staff were ever so friendly! We were given a small tour of the hotel of locations that were in The Witches film! The spa and pool are immense and the aromatherapy showers....just WOW! The room was beautifully decorated and we had ordered a bottle of bubbly to be waiting for us which it was and lovely and chilled, we had a sea view which was amazing and the only slight downside was the room seemed a little small. I would definitely recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return, the cottages look adorable and we need to have a little stay in one also! Thank you to all at The Headland for making our trip from North Yorks very much worth it!

Our stay was in Mariner 1 Cottage for 1 week from 19/7/14. Our party consisted of 2 grandparents with son, daughter in law and 5yr old grandson. The cottage has ALL the facilities you could wish for, was spotlessly clean, spacious, very comfortable, had a great location and was designed/decorated in a modern nautical style. We also used the hotel spa facilities and took some of our meals in the hotel. This hotel, its facilities and the customer service it provides cannot be faulted. The cherry on the top really has to be the care and consideration shown by ALL staff to its guests. The staff are pro active, smiling, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Special thanks go to Tim, Grant and Daniel for their attentiveness but the same can be said of all staff we saw no matter what their role or responsibility. We were so impressed that as soon as we know our dates for next year we will be booking again. Not cheap at all but you get what you pay for and anyway who wants to run the risk with their annual holiday! The Roberts family.
