Had an excellent week at the Headland. The new rooms overlooking Fistral are lovely, food was great and all staff were really helpful and welcoming.

Is created when one visits the majestic headland hotel, where royality wined & dined at the beginnning of the century. And one is made to feel like royalty by all the staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them, they are not `in your face` but quietly glide around, with geniune smiles, ready to tend to your every need. The interior is beautifully arranged, with various rooms, windows for one to sit and contemplate quietly, or relax with friends. The rooms and decor are of exceptional high quality, wondeful room service available too.The staff are very accommodating and let you walk in with your wet suit on, after experiencing the breathtaking surf on fistral, enabling you to relax in their pool and sauna (which is open to members of the public for a small fee.)
There are magnificient views of newquays ancient headlands, where bronze age people felt the need to come here to! Thank you! Dying to come back again!

We stayed with our 10 year old son for 10 days in the Headland Cottages and found the standard extremely good and the location perfect. We could walk to the beach in 3 mins where all the surfing facilities were available. Although we did not use the hotel a great deal we found the staff very attentive and little touches such as a large bowl of fruit on arrival and fresh mulk in the fridge were very welcome. The cottage was well equiped and had a beatiful view out to sea. We thouroughly enjoyed our break and hope to be back again.

My hubby and i have just returned from a 3 day break at the Headland Hotel in Cornwall and what a fantasic time it was. From the outside it looks quite imposing-its not-it really feels so homely and comfortable (which i have to say must be down to the staff) but still manages to keep its opulance.Nothing and i mean nothing was too much trouble for ANY member of staff.Restaurant, reception and housekeeping always friendly and helpful. Our room (108) was just gorgeous with a four poster bed and little seating area, double ended bath(!) and a view of the sea. It was immaculately clean.
Our stay was for an anniversary treat- but we will definately not be saving it for special occasions and cannot wait to go back!
A teeny tiny gripe was why the main restaurant is 'casual dress'-the calibre of food and service in there deserves a little more than that.
But to end i cannot praise this hotel highly enough -the staff, atmosphere and location you won't find anywhere else in the South West-try it and see for yourselves!

We stayed at one of the Headland hotel cottages which was recommended by a work colleague. What a gem of a location. The cottage had the most spectacular view of the Sea which we found ourselves mesmerized with - every evening sat on the decking watching the sun go down with a glass of fizz. Practically when you stay at the cottages you have access to all the hotel facilities which is great for a young family and we made use of both the indoor, outdoor swimming pool and the young children's play areas almost on a daily basis. The beach is a short walk away. We were also very impressed by how dog friendly the hotel was - and the holiday was even more special because the whole family - including our labrador could stay. The hotel staff are all exceptionally helpful and friendly. Worth every penny - we are already planning a return trip.

I came here for a cream tea with friends. The cream tea was absolutely delicious. Plenty of scones, super service and all within a beautiful environment with the most amazing views over the Fistral. The staff were very attentive, making this a lovely afternoon in a great setting. I would definitely recommend this for a teatime outing!
