A grand hotel. We received wonderful service from all the staff from the beginning. We loved the grandeur and superb decor. The Headland was welcoming and very comfortable, lotsof areas to sit and chat with family. Our children and grandchildren had come for an active weekend including surfing. it was so good to walk out of the main entrance straight down to the beach. Perfect situation. Our rooms were large, magnificent with high ceilings, all newly refurbished and spotless. The beds were so comfortable with the best linens. The main dining area was just out of this world , the food superb, as was the smaller dining area overlooking Fistral Beach. We went for a special weekend and it exceeded our expectations. We would recommend The Headland without reservation.

Stayed at The Headland recently and had a great time - more relaxation than action for us but we loved watching those who wanted to surf and spend time on the beach, etc. The hotel provided a friendly environment, pleasant and helpful staff and importantly for us allowed our pets too! Lots to do for all the family, swimming pool (heated) pitch & putt golf course, tennis, croquet and indoors lovely lounge areas, swimming pool, kids games room well equipped as well as provision of surfing centre on site who also do rock pool exploring. We also made good use of the free wifi. Lovely food although a little expensive but seemed to be in line with other restaurants in the area. Breakfasts were excellent - so much choice.

My husband, daughter, springer spaniel and myself recently enjoyed a short break at the Headland Hotel in Newquay. It was fabulous. The staff were attentive but not over bearing, extremely helpful and very friendly.

Our 6 year old daughter and 13 year old spaniel were particularly well received. It was lovely to be able to enjoy all the benefits of a high end hotel like this and not be treated as an outsider because we had children and dogs in tow.

We paid £13 per night for our dog and didn't think this was excessive escecially as it included a lovely y soft bed for him, dog treats and a can of meaty dinner per day (as well as supplying poo bags!). This is the first time we have had this kind of treatment for our pooch and he loved it!

The food was fantastic and we cannot fault any part of our stay. All the staff seemed genuinly pleased to help in whatever way they could. Of course this hotel is not cheap, but given its locaion right next to Fistral Beach, the size and quality of the bedrooms and public rooms it was worth every penny and I for one will be going back!

It had not struck me until we drove up to the entrance of the Hotel, this was the setting of the film "The Witches" from Roald Dahls novel. What an imposing structure!
The hotel is bathed in history, yet very up to date with wi-fi available throughout.
The staff were very friendly from the Reception right through to the Restaurant.
The views are breathtaking and all-in-all it was the perfect setting for our 'short break'.

Thank you Headland

We have now visited the 5 Star cottages 3 times in 13 months! Our son has just turned two and the cottages are the ideal venue for a toddler. You've got all the benefits of the hotel with the comfort of your own cottage. As a fussy Mum I have no worries about cleanliness for my toddler, the indoor pool is great all year round and the play room is an added bonus. A warm welcome is also given to our toddler in the resturant. Mummy also gets to relax as the cottages are serviced every day, so no bed making or picking towels up.
We can't wait for our next visit and will be booking it soon

We have recently returned from an excellent couple of days staying at the Headland and can 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a special weekend away in a beatiful part of the UK. We were recommended room 330 and were not dissapointed, massive comfy bed, the view from the bath was fantastic looking down onto the beach and out to sea! Am told by my girlfriend the "special shoe cupboard' was a real treat as was the birthday card and champagne we recieved on her birthday. Thanks to all at the Headland for making the stay one to remember.

Although quite pricey in comparison to other places in the Newquay area, this hotel was in a beautiful location and excellent position for walks and the Fistal beach.
Reception staff were helpful and pleasant, the breakfast fine and housekeeping to standard.
If I had any grumbles with the Hotel it would be that there is no in room safe or iron (have to go to a separate room to use an iron) Also the hotel was fully aware that it was my wifes 30th Birthday but done nothing to acknowledge this, a small complementary glass of wine or something similar would have been a nice gesture.
I would stay at the Headlands again, may be in the cottages with my daughter and family.....
