If you are looking for a family holiday with a dog then this is the place to stay.with 4 of us in a room with the dog was fine and the room and bathroom en-suite were clean and tidy. The hotel is in the heart of the town with great eating places within easy walking distance (must try Fresh over the road).Breakfast was very good with fresh Kippers ,the local beaches are dog friendly and many eating places and shops will allow your dog in as well. All hotel staff are clean and friendly and very helpful. Great pool/ spa for non sunny days
with a little bit of modification would be a 4 star but great place to anyway

What a brilliant 3 days/nights myself and my children have just had in New quay at the Victoria. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, all were very courteous and I do believe that what goes around comes around. The suite was very nice and maintained to a very high standard, the public areas were also spotlessly clean. I can't fault this hotel at all, can't wait to go back again

Nice clean room, shame it was shabby chic. The indoor pool was a bonus and the restaurant served a great dinner, shame about the breakfast, if you have breakfast do as we did on our second day and ask for it to be put in the microwave unless you like a cold full English.

Just got back from a long weekend in Newquay , we thought we would treat ourselves to some nice accommodation. How wrong we were.We had a suit on the fourth floor, everything was reasonable (but not good) until you wanted hot water in the bathroom. The tap was that lose it was literally hanging off!!! You had to hold it with two hands to use it..
The worst bit was breakfast and the service. The tables were not set correctly (no tea spoons and no milk for the tea and coffee except for one day and no sauces). When we did finally get tea and coffee it was only luke warm. The cooked breakfast itself was exceptable except for the hash browns. I am sure they had been re-heated at least 4 times. When we asked for ketchup it took probably 5 minutes to arrive so cold breakfast along with cold tea...Great!!!
As you can guess I went without sauce the rest of the days.
The pool area was nice on the one rainy day we had but the changing room and steam room had a lot to be desired.
I am sorry to say better service and facilities at one of the £20 per night b&b's for us next time instead of a £200 plus per night suit which was old and seen a lot better days...

Room Tip: Go somewhere else smaller with a more personal touch.

Just back from a mini break in Newquay and The Victoria.... handy position for the train station, and lots of lovely lounge areas to sit & relax in. Booked a first floor room, which had all we needed, beds comfy, shower worked well ! Staircase was very grand.

Staff were very friendly & helpful & smiling. Reception especially.

We loved the pool & jacuzzi and spent over two hours in there all on our own.

Breakfast was great - quick to arrive, fresh, hot & plenty of choice.

Sadly we couldn't book any spa treatments as on Thursday the beautician was only in for one appointment and Friday was already booked up, will pre book next visit.

Can't wait to go back - for another chill out.

Thanks !

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking town were fine. Not overally noisy & spacious.

Couldn't ask for better.

We stayed for 9 nights. On arrival we was welcomed with a warm welcome from the reception staff very helpful and friendly . Outstanding entrance in well keeping with the buildings charm, the dramatic stair case is fantastic, the hotel is keeping its original features and not trying to update it. There's a lift for those who can't manage the stairs. Our room over looked a stunning view of beaches and coast line.Tea and coffee and plenty room for the kids to play in a very clean room and bathroom. We made use of swimming pool was just perfect for us and the kids, and the sauna. And plenty of clean towels can be found at reception. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Breakfast was amazing something for everyone. croissants..pastries.. Juices.. Cereals.. Fruit.. Yogurts.. Full English...toast the choice is outstanding with a service from the staff to match. We loved our stay here. We will defiantly be back next year.

We had two rooms with sea-views together, which was clean and tidy.
The staff are very polite and friendly. even the porter went out of his way to get me a fan
as I'm sensitive to heat. Did check out this hotel on TripAdvisor first and it was a Lovely old-fashioned hotel as per the webpage and pictures on TripAdvisor. seen this hotel when we stayed at The Atlantic Hotel three years ago, but this August the cost was too high, well it's a 4 star hotel, the hotel Victory is a 3 star and family owned.
It would be great if they could get the lift working down to the beach as this would make it stand out on it own

Room Tip: sea-view room are less nosy than the front
