Legacy Hotel Victoria - Newquay
Ranked #22 of 37 Hotels in Newquay

Visited this hotel on a KGB voucher. We paid a little extra for a sea view and found ourselves in room 317. The room was average size, with a small window overlooking the sea. Nicely furnished, with 'Victoriana' dressing table, wardrobe, chest of drawers and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was small, but with plenty of room to move about. All very clean and well presented. The hotel is a lovely warm old fashioned place, with wonderful Victorian features, but with updates in the right places. We had booked on a Bed and Breakfast offer, so did not eat in the restaurant at night, but breakfast was excellent, served with a smile and kept us going for the day. This hotel is very close to the town and all the amenities it has to offer. We did have to pay £5 a day parking, but with the parking in Newquay being very difficult we did not mind and would recommend this to anyone staying. There is a lovely indoor swimming pool available to guests and they do have entertainment at weekends, but as we stayed Mon thru Wed we did not see it.
Our only disappointment was that the lift, which the hotel used to operate down to the beach, is no longer in operation - Boo!. This would have completed what was a very pleasurable stay and we will return.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra and have a sea-view room, which will put you on the opposite side of the hotel to...

Stayed for the weekend at the hotel Victoria in Newquay , loved the old fashioned and warm feel to the place , our room on the third floored overlooked the beach and we could hear the waves when we opened the window .
The bed was really comfortable and a high quality bed linen .
Breakfast was really good with a choice of full English or any combination all made fresh to order.
We also could see the beach when we were in the restaurant .
The beaches are beautiful , the weather was amazing for October .

Room Tip: Ask for sea view when booking

Unfortunately, I could only arrive late and leave early from one of my favourite hotels in the SW. Staff always very helpful and the room was of a high standard and usual cleanliness. My regregt is not being able to stay in the morning (early flight) for the English breakfast. Full silevr service and one of the most enjoyable settings you could ask for.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Go for the sea views every time.

Just spend 2 nights in Newquay, based B&B at the Victoria Hotel on East Street. Excellent 2nd floor room with Sea View; 4 floors so book the top floor if you can. Beautiful typical Victorian seaside hotel. Surrounded by pubs and restaurants and Tesco Expresses (it is Newquay after all). Good indoor pool and hot tub; sauna and steam room and changing rooms very tired. Breakfast ok. Superb receptionists.

Room Tip: 4th floor sea view

A magnificent Victorian hotel, beautifully appointed and lovingly maintained. Right by the sea with fine views of Cornwall's matchless coastline and within a stone's throw of the railway station. There's a substantial car park, shared with other local facilities but you should always get a space if you're a guest.

A high quality full English breakfast was included and we got friendly and helpful service from all the staff. Rooms very spacious, as you would expect from a building of that vintage, spotlessly clean and with very comfortable beds. The hotel arrange all manner of parties and events, some clearly quite lively. But we on the first floor and our companions on the ground floor heard not a peep all through the night.

Difficult to fault this hotel.

This grand hotel is in a great location overlooking the ocean and also very close to shops and restaurants. Our room was clean and comfortable. There are plenty of lounge areas to relax in and the cooked breakfast made to order each morning was great!
The hotel also has a free washer and dryer for guests to use.
