We stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of November, the hotel was very quiet which was lovely and peaceful. We liked the pool and spa bath and noticed that there are plans to renovate this area which will be even better. The room (a superior double) was exteremely comfortable and beautifully clean, the bed was really comfortable and the bathroom had double sinks, a huge shower and slipper bath. We ate 2 nights in the Silks resturant which was fantastic, on the other night we walked down to the Red Lion a couple of mins walk away which was excellent value for money and a good atmosphere. The breakfast at the Atlantic was exemplery and the professional and friendly service added to the whole experience. All in all it was exactly what we wanted in our break and we would definately stay there again if returning to the area.

Room Tip: Superior room overlooked the sea so good view and private

We were lucky enougth to stay here for 4 nights in October. We plumped for a superior room and got room 202 which was beautiful. Superb modern bathroom, lots of windows in the large room and a lovely balcony with seating overlooking Newquay and the atlantic ocean. All of the staff were very pleasant, breakfast was a huge hot and cold buffet (please invest in some new toasters though!). We ate in the restaurant one evening and that too was superb. If I ever go to Newquay again then I would stay here and request room 202.

Room Tip: go for superior with a balcony overlooking the atlantic, eg room 202, you wont regret it

We have just had a two night stay in October and found this hotel to be good value for one of the better hotels in Newquay, its position that overlooked the sea is excellent along with the room which was clean , comfortable and well equiped. We dined on the first evening in the hotel and the meal and service was very good. The indoor pool was adequate and we had it completly to ourselves although it is in need of the planned refurbishment due in 2012. The only down side was that as we were on the 3rd floor it took a while for the hot water to run through and the pressure in the shower was poor ,a power shower would have done the trick.

We returned to the hotel after our first visit 20 years ago and were very impressed with its modernisation. We could not have wished for a warmer or more friendly welcome. The room was well appointed with a great sea view.Silks Bistro is an excellent addition with fantastic food and first class service. The breakfast experience was superb with very good service and a wide selection of well cooked food.We now look forward to our next visit!
