Our stay was fabulous. The staff made every effort to make us welcome. Mostly local people employed here but everybody was charming.
The food was superb and presented beautifully. The hotel was great with spectacular scenery with sea on three sides. Who cares about the weather in December when you have such a gorgeous place to stay. Thank you, Guy Dodds.

Room Tip: They are all sea views so help yourself.

My husband and I stayed for a single night at the hotel following a works Christmas do. We were greeted pleasantly and checked in quickly at reception and then found our room. We were on the third floor and this presented us with stunning views across Fistral beach, which was wild and captivating.
The room was well set out with concealed wardrobes and a comfortable sofa. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linen was both pretty and of a high quality. The bathroom was palatial-a shower, bath, 2 sinks, bathrobes...bliss!
After a good nights sleep, we went down for breakfast. Despite the hotel being quiet, there was still a full range of options available, and hot food was cooked to order. Very pleasant.
Though only a single nights stay, it was a lovely venue and I would recommend it.

The hotel is very warm & welcoming .the decor at the entrance and rooms are excellent .
As I am in a wheelchair with a spinal cord injury .I look at all rooms from a disabled persons point of view
The disabled roomwas on the 3rd floor .But there was a good lift. The room was quite small and would be a struggle for anyone in a large wheelchair The bed was very large & I had to move 2 chairs to be able to manovere around .
Although the bathroom was a wet room with a wall fixed shower seat . I was unable to use the shower as it had only a high fixed shower head . Once sitting I was unable to access the controls as they were were on the wall behind me There was also no where to place a dry towel .If the lift assisted grab rail was placed on the other side of the toilet. It would allow easier access to the toilet & solve the dry towel problem Fortunately there was a bath board I was able to use .
also noted that there was no alarm cord . Only a telephone in the bathroom & bedroom .That I would have been unable to reach should i have fallen .
Despite this we enjoyed our stay . As we were out of season the price we paid for bed & breakfast was reasonable .
The food was excellent .
With regards to disabled rooms . I personally feel that they need to ask a disabled person to view the plans . Before they refurbish

We checked into this hotel on short notice and so glad we did. The room which was a superior sea view was fabulous ..... kingsize bed which was so comfy and with gorgeous bedding, bedside tables with lamps and telephone, larger tv (which is a bonus because most hotels etc give you those little fiddley tv's) plush carpeting, sofa, small table, desk, roomy bathroom with shower, bath, double washbowls and loo ... walk-in wardrobe and the tea/coffee making facilities etc, small safe and fridge were concealed away in a very clever "cupboard". The hotel itself has lovely decor and it was sheer bliss to stay here. We dined in Silks restaurant within the hotel and that too was absolutely fabulous. To look at the hotel outside defied what was going on inside. Will definitely be going back. Thank you for a lovely stay

Booked Monday 11 November 13 Remembrance Day & certainly a night to remember for us. Cath welcomed us to the cocktail area of Silks, took our orders for pre drinks before seating us at a table of our choice early evening. She was knowledgable on the wine list and her recommended dishes and combination of courses from two different menus was excellent and much appreciated by all.
The food was absolutely superb as was the Chilean white wine and floater Courvoisier coffees completed a memorable evening. Ambience of room and outlook over the dancing lights bay with foreground palms enhanced the experience. Did not stay as I was on holiday with local friends.

Room Tip: Get one overlooking the bay

The hotel is quite nice with amazing views. Our room and bathroom were to a high standard but the heating didn't work and radiators needed bleeding and the TV remote didn't work. The hotel it's self is nice but as it is out of season was severely lacking in staff and atmosphere. The Bistro menu was limited and pricey. We made use of the pool which was cold and the jacuzzi which was tepid. The pool area stinks and the wood needs replacing as do several rusting light fittings over the jacuzzi. Some lockers in the changing room would not go amiss.
With some effort and marketing much more could be made of this place out of season but prices need to come down or people will just choose the Headland Hotel which has more on offer.

Dear Paul C
Thank you for reviewing the hotel after your recent stay with us, I am pleased to read that you enjoyed our location and the stunning views we have to offer. I can only apologise that you experienced a few issues in your room when you arrived. I have checked our swimming pool records including cleaning checks and pool temperatures and have found everything in order but have taken all of your comments on board, now we are in low season our leisure facilities have received a face lift whilst the plans are being completed for our new spa & gym facilities as we continue to make improvements for the future. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to the Atlantic Hotel in the future.

Stayed at the Atlantic Hotel for a two day visit recently with my husband..The rooms were extremely comfortable, the quality of the bathroom fittings were excellent, and sea views were fantastic .Dined in on one night in the lovely Silks Bistro and had a lovely meal.We found all the staff that dealt with us very accommodating. This I understand is a privately owned establishment that has gone through recent refurbishment to a very high standard and I would definately not hesitate in recommending it. Well Done!
