I visited this great attraction during my holiday in Cornwall last week with my 19 month old. We both thoroughly enjoyed it! It might be a but scary for some small children but my little man took it in his stride. The pirate guides are excellent & really funny. I'd thoroughly recommend. Loads of fun.

“A Swashbucklin' Adventure for all the family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2014

The old Tunnels Through Time building has been re-vamped into Buccaneer Bay. Your experience begins the moment you step through the door, with Saffron the talking parrot (automaton) and the friendly lady on the reception desk in full pirate attire. Our pirate guide was John Hawkins who was fabulous! He took us on an exciting adventure through the caves and the coves of the Buccaneer Bay advising us of who to watch out for on our journey - smugglers, wizards, giants, piskies and spriggans and telling us wonderful tales en route. Armed with our treasure map we visited Crandock Quay, Black Death Inn and bravely took the route through the Sunken Village of the Damned (there is a safe passage out of there if it is found to be too scary for younger visitors), amongst other dastardly destinations. We all made it through safely to claim our pirate treasure. The pirate interaction was first class characterization, with dress, makeup and speech! This attraction is most highly recommended and in fact the children (aged 5, 7 and 11) wanted to go back again as they enjoyed it so much.

“Top attraction”

Was roped into taking my 12 year old daughter by my sister, bro in law and their 3 and 6 year old. Much to my surprise it was a very amusing little attraction with laughs, spooks, legends and facts! (Did pay by card). Recommended for a grey day.

Fun.

“Pirate Fun”

We were a group with several kids from 7-12 and it was ideal. I agree that it's a little overpriced but we all had a good time. Be aware that they don't take cards. You are led through the caverns by guides who really get into character! It's also marginally educational. Make sure you take the scary path for the full experience.
