“Decent Enough”
Reviewed 13 September 2013

Rooms was fairly small (but clean) with bunkbeds and the like but I suppose that's to be expected from a hostel. The bar area is decent with a tv and Tuborg was well priced at about £2.70 a pint. We were busted smoking in our room (which wasn't allowed) and were given a warning (fair enough) but the staff were still friendly with us even after that so fair play to them

My wife and I recently stayed at the Mor Surf Lodge where we were pleasantly surprised by the standard of accomodation. We booked through Late Rooms and paid £40 for a 1 night stay including breakfast. When we arrived we were greeted by the hotel manager Patrick who kindly upgraded us from a dorm with bunk beds to a room with a double bed at no extra charge. The room was basic but clean and tidy. The facilities in the Lodge are good. Wifi, pool table etc and the bar prices were the cheapest we found in Newquay. The breakfast was continental but plenty of it. Overall a great value for money stay. Thanks to Patrick and his staff!!!!!

Room Tip: If you don't or can't do stairs, ask for a room on the ground floor as there is no lift and...

Where do I start? The hotel was fantastic but I would like to give special mention to the young lady Danielle on reception. A joy to be around and no task was too small for her. A cracking smile and a brilliant personality. Heart of gold. Thanks Danielle for the trip of my life! Who would have thought Newquay would be such a blast... And I didn't even leave reception.

Had a amazing time here staff are amazing and join in with the fun and antics (danielle) and her amazing hand job on the beach :) (cocktail by the way). Its a simple hotel what works really well, only a 5 min walk to the beach top location. Rooms were basic but ideal for big parties etc. Well worth it. Thank you!

I stayed for the weekend (Friday til Sunday) with 4 lads and really enjoyed the hotel. Ideal for stags/ hens. Situated 5 mins from town centre so great location but not too noisy at night. Room and shower was very small but that's what you expect for money. Breakfast is only continental so could do with full English. So overall very good hotel and would definitely stay there again :-)

Stayed at this hotel just for a LADs weekend away and had the best time ever. Even though the rooms are basic you get a good view of the town. The location is good and the staff are even better and join in on the banter. Made a new cocktail call handjob on the beach and would advice it to anyone to try it as this is the only place that makes them. After a night out you look forward to getting into your bed as they are well comfy. Would recommend this hotel and looking at going back to it in the future. Big shout to Danny as she made the stay more enjoyable :)
