Food is of a reasonable standard, not top end pub grub more middle of the road.
The gammon was nice and the chips were crispy and not over greasy, it came with a good side salad. Bubble and Smoke, was very good a nice size piece of smoked haddock on a bed of bubble and squeak topped off with a nice soft poached egg. The ribs were very good but not worth the price as Daemons ribs would beat them hands down on taste and value for money (the portion was quite small) but cost the same. The burgers on the other hand, were top whack.
All in all a reasonable quality but slightly over priced for the standard of food and drink served.
The lady waiting tables worked very hard, she also had to serve at the bar.
No draft speciality beers so for a Cornish beer it was a bottle same went for the Rattler Cider.
I would eat here again if in the area, it is pub grub treat it as such.
