i feel this review is unjust and has not given any reason for the comments, could it be the guest alone did not like the selection of the food.
have not received any other complaints during this time.
plus feel that the reviews on rooms, cleanliness, service and value is unjust and not justfied.
at no time was any of these issues brought to my attention

Just had a five day, four night holiday at this hotel. Great location with just a steady five minute walk to the town centre and straight across the road from a stepped/sloped access onto a beautiful beach. We didn't try the climb back that way as to much for our age so waled along the beach and came out by the harbour to use the gentle slope followed by a walk back through the town. The staff were amazing and the food excellent with a wide variety each day to suit all tastes. The hotel provided entertainment each night which was quite good and the drink prices were comparable to pub prices. All in all a great place to stay but more likely to suit the older generation rather than a family with young children.

Room Tip: Room 35 at second floor with a sea view. Lift up to 2nd floor with a small walk to the room.

The most noticible feature of this hotel, is the friendly demenour of all the staff.. The rooms (unless overlooking the sea) are rather stuffy and the room that my wife and I had (Rm.26) from time to time, suffered from a rather noisy exhaust fan below . The shower in the room works well as did all lights.. Breakfast and dinner were good, without being outstanding. Indeed I find very little to complain about this hotel and would certainly stay there again

My wife and I stayed for four nights as members of a coach party. The hotel was full but the service was efficient and thoroughly professional. I have a gluten-free diet and am accustomed to meat without gravy and no bread, sauces or puddings. I had all these things, many being prepared specially for me. I have never stayed in a hotel which went to such lengths and I was delighted and grateful for it.
The room and bathroom were fine and the position is good. It was the staff though who made our visit really memorable.

Even though I broke my wrist in Truro Cathedral on the first excursion the staff were really kind. The food was great with a good variety of home cooked meals with great fresh veg.
The rooms were spotless with plenty of toiletries, tea, milk and coffee. Comfy bed fluffy towels and enough coat hangers.

The only drawback was that my room was nearly above the entertainment which was too loud. Added to that the lion in the nearby zoo was extremely vocal at night, but I did not mind that. I suppose that had I not been sleeping poorly because of my wrist I might not have heard it.

All in all a good place to stay. Thank you Edwards Coaches for choosing the venue.
