This was our first ever visit to Newquay, and I booked the accommodation online, straight after booking the flights down. Cormorant House was the first accommodation that popped up, so I had a good look. I didn't look at any other accommodation and I am glad I didn't! Sally & Chris provided me & my partner with A++++ service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Chris collected us from the airport and dropped us back there a few days later, a brilliant + for us. We had a hot drink & cake with Sally & Chris when we arrived at Cormorant House, which was lovely & welcoming. The breakfasts are excellent, plenty of choice and freshly cooked. Amazing. The room (Penpol) was lovely, clean and the bed was very comfy. Take advantage of Chris & Sally's local knowledge, they will point you in the right direction. Located in the perfect place, that your close to all amenities and beach. In process of booking for next year & bringing the in laws too.

Thank you Terri and Pete for your great review! We loved your enthusiam and could see you enjoyed every minute of your holiday! What a great way to get here as well - a nice short flight to Newquay and our very own chauffeur (Chris) to pick you up and take you on the 'Town Tour'!! As you found, we are ideally located - nice and peaceful but within easy walking distance to the beaches and restaurants. Thank you very much for your reservation for next year and we look forward to meeting your family and seeing you both again!

Having never been to Cornwall before I checked accomodation online. Cormorant House was rated at 9.6 so looked like a good place to stay. Having had two wonderfull weeks I can't understand why it was not rated as 10. Sally and Chris made us feel like we were at home. The room was immaculate, clean, light, airy and very well presented. The food was top class and plenty of it. On arrival we were offered refreshments and made to feel welcomed. Ideally located for access to the beaches, town and local places of interest. It was the perfect place to stay. I would have no hesitation booking again if or when we return to Cornwall. Thank you Sally and Chris for making our holiday so enjoyable.

We have just returned from our second visit to Cormorant House, having rebooked last year because of the great experience we'd had during our stay there. It was like coming back to stay with 'old' friends. Sally & Chris remain the perfect hosts & I cannot understand why they are not Number 1 in Newquay..... as they soon will be. It's the perfect haven to rest your head after enjoying everything Cornwall has to offer. It's very comfortable indeed, immaculately clean & the best breakfast in town (it must be!). With such high standards of hospitality, service & comfort, Cormorant House represents fantastic value for money & makes for a '360 degrees' fab holiday. We booked for 2014 before we left! Don't look at anywhere else for miles around - book it too!

Room Tip: 'Lusty Glaze' has it's own entrance, which really makes it a home from home.

Hello Jane and Alan. Better late than never! I've just found out how to respond to our reviews, so thank you so much for your great review! We are really pleased you enjoyed your holiday so much and it was so nice to welcome you back into 'the fold'! As you found, where else would you rather be than Cornwall when the sun shines! ...nice eating places, narrow lanes....alright, we won't mention the narrow lanes! Look forward to seeing you both next year. Warmest regards. Chris and Sally.

When we arrived Sally made tea and we had a lovely homemade cake. The rooms were light, nice and clean. The bathroom was very nice with nice soap shampoo and bathgel. We had a bath and a shower, the other room had a shower. In the room there was everything you needed to make yourself a nice cup of tea or coffee including the cookies. The breakfast was very good, lovely seasonal fruit, Cornish cheeses, a variety of muesli, bread and jam or marmalade. And a full English breakfast if you would like to. Every day there was a list on your bed, and on that list you could choose what you would like to eat next day. Sally and Chris always asked us what the plans were for that day and then they gave us advise about things we could do. At the end of the day they always asked us if we had a nice day and what we had done. One morning Chris took his own car and drove us to a few places you normally wouldn’t visit. This was very nice. Sally even gave us a discount coupon for the lost garden of Heligan, and she even bought 2 copies of a magazine which I couldn’t buy in the Netherlands. We had a lovely time at the B&B, it felt more like we visited friends instead of people we just met. Thank you for our lovely time.

Room Tip: When you have troubles walking the stairs try the room on the groundfloor.

Cormorant House is an excellent B&B. Just came back home today..and couldn´t wait to put down a word of praise:) The rooms are stunning. Great extras as well...kettle, free coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits...hair dryer, LCD TV with a DVD. Sally and Chris are absolutely brilliant hosts and really make you feel at home. As probably for everybody else, the breakfast was absolutely delicious..you could taste Cornwall in every mouthful. Ten out of ten:)

Room Tip: some rooms have external bathrooms..so make an enquiry, if you are after an en-suite!

Sally and Chris are very welcoming hosts, as soon as we arrived we had a warm reception which included a cup of tea and lovely carrot cake! Our room was lovely clean and bright, with some extras eg wine glasses and bottle opener, umbrella in the drawer, luxury toiletries, also as an added touch I had a birthday card flowers and chocolates from them as it was my birthday during our stay! Sally and Chris provided lots of information as to where to visit and provided an outstanding breakfast which had local produce. Yes we will come again, and recommend their guest house if staying in Newquay!!

Room Tip: We stayed in the ground floor room, which had the added bonus of our own entrance door, so as not to...
