“very small bedroom”

we stayed at the beaconsfield hotel for 4 nights, the double room was small and there was very little space between the ensuite door and the bed , the lounge areas need a lot of updating, leather chairs had holes in them, the breakfast was very badly organised and the evening meals did not suit everyone, entertainment was more for the pensioners . the good thing was the short walk to the shops and from the front of the hotel there was a lovely sea view, we were awoke each night at about 3am to the sound of noisey sea gulls , this went on for hours, and could hear this even with our window shut

This is one really friendly hotel and a great place to totally relax. The ambience, rooms, food, bar, etc. are traditionally British, but in the best way. The location is perfect, being right on the seafront (great views-see pic) and within easy walking distance of pretty much everything Newquay has to offer.
The hotel, owners and staff are at ease dealing with customers of all ages and origins. Visit them soon and make sure you don't leave without enjoying 'piano bar session' with proprietor, Tony H.

Over all we had a really good time. One throw back is the rude non professional irish receptionist. She got no idea about the job and what she's doing. The front desk staff should present the hotel, but she don't put any afford into it.No surprise,it goes down hill.
All the other staff and the rooms are highly recommended.

We stayed there a few weeks ago and we had a really good time.
Make sure when you book in to have a refurbished room,if not they will upgrade you at the front desk for a non additional charge. The rooms are small ( like most hotel rooms in england),but clean.
The food is "very british", the meat is undercooked and the vegetables are overcooked, but there are plenty of Restaurants and Pubs around ,so you don't need to eat in. Try to avoid the barman, he thinks he is above everything and talks down to you, we called him: Mr. Important :-)
We don't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

I have been going to Newquay with my partner for about twelve years now. I can honestly say that the Beaconsfield Hotel is the worst hotel/guest house I have ever stayed in. The room we had was tiny and the furnishings were old and shabby. When we went for breakfast there was no organisation as to where you should sit and the food was not very nice. It was very expensive considering the state of the room and I will NEVER go back there again.
