We will be going back for many years (I hope) as we had a wonderful time, the facilities were great and so was the service.

We had been going to Bedruthen Hotel for many years as they catered for my allergies and the facilities were good for the kids…we wanted to have a change hence why we originally called this hotel and our concern was regarding my severe allergies.

The head chef was brilliant, he came out and spoke to me a the very beginning and assured me that our 10 days with you will be fine with my allergies…his processes worked perfectly and the food was great too.

This was our first holiday to Sands resort and I was so impressed with all aspects of the hotel. In fact I think it was one of the most relaxing holidays we have had with our two boys, 7 and 5 as the hotel and staff had thought of everything to make the holiday as stress free as possible. We went with grandparents and it was equally enjoyable for them. Meal times were really well organised and the service was so swift in family dining with a great selection of food. Activities were varied and you could pick and choose each day without having to think about things too far in advance. Location was brill with beaches in walking distance. Staff were so friendly and it seemed like they really enjoyed their work, often a rare thing these days! We will definitely be back and I am now recommending it to all my friends.

Room Tip: Family suite was great.

Stayed recently for one week with husband and three boys aged 10, 7 and 5. Would highly recommend for families with young children. Stayed on top floor in large room with children's beds in a separate area. High ceilings and large windows fronting the ocean gave room a very spacious feel despite the number of occupants. Great play facilities and hiring of beach gear a huge asset (no need to pack the car to the roof with boards and wet suits!). Majority of other guests were families so great socializing for both adults and children in the evenings. Didn't avail of children's clubs (children too old) or spa facilities (children too young) so can't comment on these and only ate breakfast which was excellent. Newquay itself not the most attractive town but ideally located for trips to the rest of Cornwall which is spectacularly beautiful with lots and lots of things to do and places to see. Single most notable thing about the hotel is the youth and enthusiasm of the staff. Always smiling, always helpful. Would definitely return.

Staff are very attentive, food is excellent and there's a nice relaxed feel. Even though it was the height of the summer holidays, didn't feel busy and we could do whatever we wanted without queuing.

Highly recommend as a great reliable family hotel!

Better than expected. Great facilities for children. Food very good. Dining arrangements great and better than anticipated (7 pm family dining). Staff very good. Excellent sea view room, spotlessly clean. Great beach across the road. Would certainly considered staying another year.
