Arrived here after a trip to London for the Olympics and I have to say this B&B was better than the Hotel we stayed in whilst in London. Stayed for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed on longer. The Guest House is relaxed and staff are very welcoming. We had to move rooms due to a problem with allocation of rooms however we were not phased by this as the staff transferred our luggage over and apologised for the invconvenience. Location is perfect, only a few minutes away from the main high street. Car park is small and tight to park however there is additional parking which you just need to ask about. Breakfast has a variety of items and if they don't have something they will source it for you. We were on the first floor which was ideal and overlooking the church and bay at the back which was a pleasant view. Would certainly stay again and would recommend to others. Thank you to all the staff at the Guest House for making our trip a relaxing time.

Room Tip: Ask for room with a view if possible. If you struggle with stairs ask for a low level room as no li...

Just returned from one night stay with my daughter and i wish we could have stayed longer. I was aware that check in time was not until 12 a surfing lesson at 9.45 and with the prospect of not finding anywhere to park we went to the hotel and asked if we could park in the carpark. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and were told are room wasn't ready but due to a cancellation there was another room free which would allow us to get ready for our lessson. The room was spotless. The hotel is 2 minutes from Newquay centre downhill but far enough away that we were not disturbed by noise. There is a large communal lounge with a pool table, television and a fridge containing alcoholic beveridges with a price list and a box to put payment in, these prices were very reasonable. The breakfast was excellent with fresh strawberries, melon, yogurts, toast, full english breakfast and pastries. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 4 and couldn't fault it.

We stayed at this guest house in august 2011. It was in a really good location, only a few minutes walk from the sea front, although it is at the top of a steephill so if you were using prams or wheelchair etc it may be a struggle. We stayed in a family room although there were only 2 of us, the room was very spacious with modern shower bathroom. It was quiet at night even though the hotel was on main road we had the benefits of being at the back of the guest house so werent disturbed by traffic noises. It was very secure, to gain entrance had excellent security measures to prevent anybody who was not a guest getting into the hotel. It had excellent entertainment facilities, there was a pool table the areas game consoles the children to play on ps3 xbox excetra. There was also a massive dvd library so you could watch a film in your room if you chose to do so. That was also a honest drinks cabinet where is drinks were available at very good prices... breakfast was more like being in a cafe, the service was very good and also the standard of food was very high with plenty of choice. Enjoyed our stay

We are just back from our stay at The Quies. This is the third time we've stayed here, the second time at the new premises. I went with my wife and my friend and his wife. We had a fantastic time made all the better knowing that we had great accommodation. The rooms are clean and spacious, the breakfast is lovely and plentiful and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, and we're already planning to stay either next year or the year after, only next time they be two extra little people too! Thank You for a great stay.

The room and facilities look new, bed is comfortable, room is spacious. There is lot of free facilities like pool, juice, dvd. There is only 1 minus point is that the room is not so well noise-protected. My friend and I, we can easily hear ppl from upstair talking, snoring (at night) and of course cars running on the road.

In reality The Quies is more of a hotel than a typical B&B, and consequently a little impersonal, but having said that the room was excellent with a balcony and a view over the town to the sea. It was comfortable, spacious, enormous bed, excellent quality flat screen TV, superbly fitted bathroom, and even really good blackout blinds.

The hotel has a well stocked honesty bar and serves a decent breakfast, much of which is self service apart from the traditional cooked elements. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Top floor and sea view - well worth the climb
