“great value”
Reviewed 28 September 2012

The service was friendly, the room spacious and very clean, the bathroom had a fabulous shower and plenty of towels. A great find that I would recommend to anyone staying in Newquay. We stayed in single occupancy rooms whilst walking the coast path and have stayed in countless hotels and B&Bs along the route. The Quies was definitely one of the better places we have stayed at in this price range.

I found The Quies by happy accident.
I travelled alone and on business. The Quies gave me everything I could wish for.
Spacious, comfortable and well decorated bedroom with extremely comfortable mattress, plenty of hanging room, more than sufficient tea/coffee and a shower room to die for (black marble effect).

Being of ample proportion, I find that most showers are snug to say the least. Not so at The Quies, And the shower itself - an energy boosting power shower to die for.

On arrival I was shown around - this hotel has many added extras that you would not expect, including a PC and printer for business users, a chestful of DVD's to use to while away rainy afternoons (as each room has its own DVD player) and the ability to bring a takeout back, use the hotel facilities and leave the mess to be cleared up by someone else.

The front door is security controlled at all time, light and airy.

I was Extremely Pleased to have found The Quies and will be staying there again.

We have just come back from a weekend in newquay where were attending a friends wedding, we stayed at the Quies & we were made to feel so welcome by all the staff, the room was lovely, clean & very smartly decorated as was the bathroom. The breakfast - well it was delicious!! & plenty of choices. There was always orange juice & coffee readily available 24/7. There was a free pool table, dvds & a drinks fridge full with beers, wines etc together with an honesty box.
We will definately recommend this hotel & will stay there again when we visit newquay again.
Thanks to everyone there - well done!!

We arrived for a 2 day stay and our first impression was not great but once inside and shown to our room our impression changed. The room was lovely and clean and decorated well and the nearness to the centre and restaurants was great. Would definately recommend it for a stay.
Would recommend you arrive early to get a decent parking space as the spaces are tight,

My friend and I stayed here for one night whilst walking the Cornish coastal path. Alex made us feel very welcome, telling us to help ourselves to free coffee/tea/juice from the dining room whenever we wanted, showing us the free games room, the dvd's and the honesty bar. We were also able to bring in take-away food if we wanted and use the dining room as we pleased (this hotel is b&b only). We had requested a twin bedded room - what we got was basically a suite, one room with a huge bed, a large shower room and another smaller room. Everything was clean and fresh and well looked after. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to people - it is a real "find".

Room Tip: Room 4 is a suite and is quiet.

We stayed here on the 9th sept and loved the hotel and the facilities. The hotel has clean and comfortable rooms, excellent staff and very professionally run. It is a real credit to their owners and we intend to stay here again albeit, for a longer period.

I wish more small (and large) hotels were run this well.

Room Tip: Go for the Sea View rooms.

We stayed here on Sunday 9th September when we arrived we were greatest by a friendly member of staff who immediately showed us all the facilities. The hotel has a games room which has a pool table, table football, arcade machine and also a ps3 with a selection of games there is also a well stocked honesty bar at very good prices . we had booked the four poster room which was clean and spacious the bed was super comfy !! The bathroom had a nice big shower and also looked and smelt clean and fresh. The room had a DVD player with a large selection of DVDs u could borrow from the games room downstairs. Breakfast was choice of cereals toast or fruit as well as usual hot selection. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the town centre (albeit on a steep hill) so provides a perfect location all in all a top place and will definatly go back !
