Waiting Time: very sensible, a little delay between main course and pudding of about 15 mins between the desert menus being handed to us and our order being taken, but it was ok.
Service - Friendliness: we were served by Katie S, very friendly, chatty, professional and a real pleasure to be waited on by her.
Service - Speed/Attentiveness: nothing was too much trouble, Katie sorted everything we asked for quickly and efficiently
Food - First Visual Impression: very good presentation, the sauces in small jars on your plate, a home made mayo and tomato sauce.
Food - Taste and Quality: it was ok, chips were a bit chewy and I am sure I could taste Cambells tomato soup concentrate in the home made tomato sauce. The chef salted the chips, a lot, I would prefer to add my own personally. It was good food, but did not blow my socks off. I highly recommend the local lager though, really nice!
Environment/Cleanliness: we had to brush off the chairs of crumbs before sitting down and the table was sticky from the previous occupants, so cleanliness was lacking, however the view was stunning!
Value: amazing value for money! Very reasonable
Other (wifi, Parking etc): wifi is free and fast, parking was plentiful just make sure your handbrake is working, it's a steep car park in places. The hotel itself was nice, the toilets were immaculate with a stack of towels instead of hand dryers.

Overall Summary: it was great, if I paid top dollar I would have complained, but at the prices it was very good overall and I would go again! So go and enjoy....

Don't be put off from the outside, the hotel looks abit dated and 70's looking, but once inside its a different story. Stunning views from the cafe and as we were eating early, the waitress kindly moved us closer to the window to enjoy the panoramic view! I chose the sweet potato and bean burger and my partner the trio of fried fish, each came with delicious hand cut chips. For afters we shared the iced rhubarb desert which was absolutely gorgeous. The food was tasty and definitely worth every penny! We will definitely recommend and return.
