Having visited the Lewinnick Lodge its fair to say that we new what to expect! The views from the hotel windows are breathtaking and just being in this establishment is so relaxing. We selected this break following my 70th birthday and entered our room to find a bottle of wine and a birthday card with balloons. Nice touch and got us off to a nice start following a 200 mile drive from our last destination of Portsmouth. The food is exceptional at the Lewinnick and the friendly service compliments the whole ambiance of the place. Housekeeping is excellent and the fixtures and fittings to the highest standards making it a truly 5 star hostelry, termed as a boutique Lodge we loved it. There is also a sports bar with wide view tv and a pool table and wonderful outside decks to either eat or simply enjoy the view,
Thanks to Karina for making the stay so pleasant we look forward to visiting again in the future.

This is a excellent restaurant set in a spectacular position overlooking the bay at Newquay. Staff always friendly and food is always up to an exceptionable standard, with great value for money. We have visited this restaurant on many occasions for both lunch and evening meals and we have always been met with the same standard of service and quality of food.

We booked a table here which is a must, we were served very promptly and offered us more than expected, the menu was limited due to being very early in the season but what we ordered was excellent, portion sizes good , puddings were also very tasty. Lots of local beverages on offer and a great lively atmosphere , we will definitely return next time were in the area.

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Superiour room for 2 nights, the weekend following Valentines day. We were blessed with lovely weather which made the experience all the better.

The view over looking the sea and Fistral Beach, was a breath of fresh air to wake up to in the morning.

The room was superb, large bedroom area with an open plan style bathroom with free standing bath and wet room style shower.

We had meals booked for the sat night and Sunday lunch which both meals were suberbly cooked.

The location is stunning with lots of coastal walks onto the Pentire head and crantock bay just behind.

All in all, the perfect weekend, so perfect that I asked my girlfriend to marry me! She said yes in case you were wondering!

Thanks all.

The room was fantastic and the most stunning views. The bed was so comfortable. The only issue with the room was the shower head needed descaling, the water jets shot out at all angles and some didn't work. Unfortunately there were a few things that didn’t match up to the standard of the room.
When we arrived we felt that it wasn’t clear where you had to go to check in. We asked a member of the bar staff and he wasn’t sure either! It turned out you had to go the the restaurant bar.
The lady who showed us to our room was very pleasant but didn’t explain anything about the room e.g you had to phone to get milk for your tea/coffee, Internet access (which turns out you had to pay for, which I think is a bit much considering the price they charge for the room), that there was a iPod docking station we could use ( we found it hidden behind a curtain just as we were leaving!) The biggest let down was the breakfast. Although the food was fantastic I have never been to a hotel that doesn’t have cereal or fruit on the menu. The staff took our order delivered our food and we never saw them again. At no point did they ask us if everything was ok or would we like refills for our tea /coffee or more toast or just anything! The toast came on the same plate as the cooked breakfast no extra plate and no jam/marmalade offered. It was a shame as this hotel is in a fantastic location the room was superb they just need to short out a few things before I would go back.

Room Tip: Sea view is a must here.

I cannont comment on the Lewinnick Lodge as a place to stay but I visited here in August 2012 for dinner with a friend and it was brilliant. The food was excellent, the ambiance was relaxed, the view was stunning, the staff were attentive and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and we came back again another day during our holiday for drinks on the terrace because we enjoyed it so much. Defo recommend this as a place to eat out!
