“A warm welcome in Cornwall”
Reviewed 30 May 2014 via mobile

A very warm welcome from the owners of a character cottage in a beautiful Cornish village. The rooms are clean and well appointed, breakfast is of the highest standard (you may gain a few pounds!). I would strongly recommend this B&B, and will happily stay there again.

My husband and I stayed bank holiday weekend. The setting was lovely. We couldn't fault the room and there were handmade biscuits, tea and coffee on our arrival. We were made to feel so Welcome by Jim and Sue.We couldn't have had better hosts. The breakfast was first class with all local produce and home baked bread. We would definitely stay again.

Have just stayed at MYRTLE COTTAGE for 3 nights while completing a surfing course in Perranporth and it could not have been more perfect! The breakfasts were delicious with homemade bread and no request too much! The rooms are decorated well with a homely feel and very clean. I really liked the bathroom, in which I spent a long time on the bath relaxing and then snuggles up in the provided bath robe! The owners are very welcoming and helpful, able to print off maps and recommend local places to visit and eat. I enjoyed my stay so much I am booking in again next month.

Room Tip: There is a lovely bathroom available with bath if you need a soak, even if you are staying in the do...

1st review and as my job includes travelling that is a big indicator that this truly is a beautiful place with the most warm and welcoming hosts. They were so attentive and prepared breakfast to perfection. As frequent visitors to Cornwall we will definitely be staying at Myrtle again. Delightful. My sister and I stayed in a double room with an en suite. The bed was so comfortable and we were well looked after. As we visit family regularly in Cornwall we will definitely stay again, thank you!

We have just spent two nights here and it was a superb experience. This is a true Cornish hideaway and a real home from home. Sue and Jim's warm and friendly hospitality is so welcoming, not to mention the wonderful breakfasts. The cottage is beautiful in every aspect and Sue and Jim have excelled themselves in giving attention to every detail. This is comfort of the highest degree, and we shall definitely be back. Thank you for a most memorable visit.

Room Tip: You cannot go wrong whichever room you stay in.

Our visit to Myrtle Cottage was brief, only a single night, but without doubt we will be back for further visits - what a delightful hidden gem this is!
Sue and Jim welcome you into their lovely old home, complete with huge stone hearth and beamed ceilings . Their attention to detail shows in everything from the very comfortable bedroom where we had a great night's sleep in the deep silence of the Cornish countryside, to the beautifully presented breakfast with home made bread, jams and marmalades and local produce on offer.
We really enjoyed our relaxed and comfortable visit to this pretty place - and will definitely return!
