The staff are very welcoming, polite and friendly. The plough mans is amazing, and would certainly recommend xxx

I am a regular in Martha's and my opinion has only improved since the first time I went. It's cosy cute and ever so welcoming. The homemade cakes are to die for and the soup is delicious.
It's so nice to see a local family working so hard and doing so well with a business in Newquay! Well deserved ladies!!
In response to the previous reviews- I went today with my 10 month old child who will not sit still. Yes high chairs would be lovely but I can see why they don't have them due to its size (not something they can really do much about!) however i choose to go there as the food is far superior than some other (perhaps) more child friendly places.

During our stay in Newquay my husband, my 14 month old daughter and I were in search of a traditional cream tea and after walking past the day before and discussing how lovely it looked Martha's appeared to be the perfect place for this.....until we walked in!!! On entering I politely ask the two staff members if there was a table for two and a highchair available to which they both abruptly replied "we don't have any highchairs" before continuing to munch on their lunch.Needless to say we left in favour of somewhere that made the three of us feel welcome and we enjoyed a fab cream tea with lovely service. Martha's may want to hang a sign saying "Families not welcome"!!!

We visited for a cream tea during our stay in Newquay and was a little bit disappointed. The service was OK but it felt a little bit like the staff were doing you a favour by serving you. We sat downstairs and whilst we could forgive the rickety tables and uncomfortable chairs the lingering smell from the upstairs toilet was very off putting. Our tea and scones arrived and we were pleased to see two lovely warm scones each with plenty of jam and butter. We were less pleased by the human hair sitting on one scone and another in one of the tea cups which again was quite off putting. The tea and scones themselves were delicious though, just s shame everything else let the visit down.
