Love this hotel. The whole feel is very relaxed. The rooms are lovely, clean and spacious. We stay here with our two children and have 2 interconnecting rooms in main house. The baby listening is a very clever web can app that works throughout the hotel and they also provide brilliant babysitters. Kids tea is good too. Having said all that, there are just as many people that stay here who don't have kids, so it's not all about being a child friendly hotel.
The pool and spa are stunning - there are bifold doors that they open around the pool on warmer days. The restaurants are great with the Beach Hut and Fifteen as alternatives to dining in the hotel, but are just a two minute walk away.
Staying here is a proper holiday for me.

Last time I reviewed this hotel I described it as best week ever. I stand by that but on booking for next year found the price had more than doubled!!! Hence sadly we are not going.

I also enquired for one night in August in a Family suit. £411!!!!!! For one night . It's good but not that good.

It seems that Family friendly means only if daddy earns a fortune the average I feel are now priced out.

Shame to end 6 yrs of family tradition but I'm off to Disney it's cheaper!!!!!

Stopped here for lunch over Easter, but very impressed! Extremely helpful and efficient staff, fantastic lunch with beach views, Lovely setting, kid friendly, and dog friendly too! Impressions are very dependent on the weather (which was great for our visit) but we were sufficiently impressed to consider staying at the hotel on a future occasion. Very Boden clientele, in a complimentary way!

We were lucky to get a table for lunch in this great cafe. The setting is fab and the food delicious. Staff seemed happy and helpful and professional. The menu had some interesting takes on standard dishes, and we would love to return to sample more.

An amazing place to eat, relax and enjoy the stunning views. The food was 1st class and the service/staff were equally magnificent.

We were blown away with the attention to detail and quality of the ingredients used.

The girls were very pleasant and helpful and were a great help in giving their own recommendations from the menu

I stayed at this hotel in February, right in the middle of one of the winter's Atlantic storms. There wasn't a lot of parking next to the hotel but there was a large public car park opposite that was free for hotel residents to use.

First impressions arriving at the hotel in the dark were good, it was well and stylishly lit up. Inside the spa is on the ground floor and there's steps to the reception level. Again this area was very well finished. Check-in was prompt, if a little cold, but efficient.

The room was lovely with a free standing bath in the windows, lots of lighting and a big comfy bed. The bathroom (shower, loo and sink) was a little small but was well finished off. There was a decent size tv in the room which also swivelled on its arm so you could watch it in the bath!

I would say that for a "Best Room with Sea View" - there are only two in the hotel, both with double aspect south and west, one on top of the other - it wasn't particlarly large, but was certainly more than adequate for a night or two. I certainly wouldn't want to spend more than a couple of days in there.

The one downside really was that being a sea view room it copped the full force of the wind and the windows were literally rattling and shaking all night. But the view of the beach the next morning certainly made up for it, and it was quite nice to sit in the bath and watch the lighting strike the sea (other bath time entertainment!).

Dinner was in the Living Room, which had a nice cafe bar ambiance to it. There were other restaurants just outside - Jamie Oliver's Fifteen and a Beach House burge place - but the hotel's offering did me just fine as a solo traveller. Lovely steak eaten in a wingback chair overlooking the ocean. The two guys behind the bar were really friendly and welcoming, probably the happiest and smiliest people I came across. The hotel's main a la carte restaurant was being refurbished at that time.

Breakfast was also in the Living Room, but was a slightly more bustling affair; I didn't realise from the night before that the hotel was that busy. Food was from a buffet, it was adequate with the sausages standing out. There was also a waffle bar. It did seem a bit short staffed for breakfast, the staff were running about all over the place.

There was a lovely looking spa and indoor pool, very well finished off, but I didn't have time to use them on this stay. I did pop into spa's chill out lounge and the views from the floor to ceiling windows were stunning.

I would return.

After a fab stay in February, really disappointed with aftercare when trying to book our next breaks. A very short sighted view, having been a frequent user and being going since a child I feel they have failed to consider our regular custom and the focus of the hotel has changed and prices increased, not worth in my view the new prices.
