“Best in Class!”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

The best home made baking you're likely to taste. Wonderfully healthy food based on a quirky "jam jar" concept. Tucked away from Newquays tourist scene this place this is a real gem. Whether it's a morning snack or a lunchtime treat this place is a must. I've been a number of times during visits to newquay and we've yet to be disappointed. Puts all other cafés to shame

“Melt in your mouth Brownie!”
Reviewed 23 June 2014 via mobile

After reading some good reviews we decided to try this place, my husband had a standard white coffee while my son and I had milkshakes (banoffee for him and ginger snap for me) and a piece of chocolate brownie. The brownie was easily the best I've ever had! The jam jar is definitely quirky in a comforting way... Loved the vinyl playing in the background and the relaxed atmosphere. A really good find!!!

Popped in for morning coffee, fantastic decaf iced mocha with a big dollop of ice cream in! Had a blueberry frangipani cake and white choc brownie both delicious! My friends loved their iced drinks too weather was fantastic so drinks were great on a hot day. Will definitely return when back in Newquay. Thanks jam jar

“Cute and quirky”
Reviewed 19 May 2014 via mobile

Tiny little place with a heap of character just opposite sainsburys. Went for a granola jar and an iced coffee was lovely just to sit for a bit an relax. Had a lovely chat with one of the owners who was really welcoming and friendly. Vinyl records playing and most things served in jars which is a cute little touch. Really tasty and cheaper than most other places in the area.

“Like catching up with a friend of coffee in their kitchen :-)”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

Being tiny and humble is The Jam Jar's USP. Any bigger and you would lose the wonderful sense of popping round to see a friend. Imaginative, rustic and comforting, it's also like being in a tree house where you can snuggle up inside or perch outside on a blanket covered bench and watch the world go by.
Fabulous coffee. It's "Origin", of course, and they know how to make it better than the ever increasing number of serving staff in cafes with "Barista" emblazoned across their shirts, who wouldn't know a decent cup of coffee from a cup of Bovril.
Jess bakes the most amazing goodies fresh every day, most of which are gluten free and made with care using ingredients which may actually do you some good! Having said that, her cakes are still fabulously sinful.
Listen to vinyl while you relax and look out for special events over the summer.

Just goes to show that you don't have to spend a fortune on props and branding to create a really special coffee (tree) house.
