Straight away from arriving, Andy was very friendly and welcoming.

We had the smallest room, but the room was very thought out and I appreciated the layout- mirror and proximity to plug sockets for hair straighteners etc is something often ignored by many places! The bed was very comfortable, despite being small double, and the bedding was all hotel quality and felt lovely. The room was modern and extremely clean.

There was a separate private shower room across the hall for our use. This was very cosy but again all perfectly clean and new. The only minor gripe was the water pressure in the shower was a bit weak, but this didn't detract from the overall experience.

I had informed Emma on booking that I need a gluten free diet (not expecting anything), and this was remembered despite booking a while ago! There was a cupcake for my partner and gluten free shortbread specially baked in the room. To follow up, in the morning they'd even gone to the trouble of getting gluten free bread in. This was not expected but just goes to show the extra mile Andy and Emma are willing to go for their customers.

Breakfast itself was lovely, the scrambled egg in particular was very good, and you could tell all the produce was fresh and of the 'locally bought' quality.

Andy and Emma were great hosts and it was good to have a quick chat before leaving. Overall highly recommended B&B, if you previously came here under previous ownership (when it was called the Alex), do not hesitate to visit now as from what I can tell it's only improved massively!

A beautiful stay at the Cove. Emma and Andy have done a great job on this great bed and breakfast. The location cannot be beaten, it literally sits opposite the beach and the beach facing bedrooms have a fantastic view. There is a sitting area to the front which we enjoyed after a wedding party on the beach. Never stayed in a place so clean; literally spotless. The breakfast was delightful, the 'full cornish' was had both mornings, complimented with fresh fruit. We genuinly will be back.

Room Tip: Beach facing

Emma and Andy were delightful hosts. The freshly baked cakes and tea on arrival were very welcome after a day's walk along the coast, as was the delicious breakfast with fresh fruit salad. The rooms were comfortable and very tastefully decorated.

The service we received from Andy and Emma made this BnB one of the best in the country. We stayed over the Easter weekend. The room was exactly as advertised but also included freshly baked homemade cakes in our room on arrival. We had a great view of the bay and it is a nice quiet area. Breakfast was great with lots of options. We felt very welcome and relaxed.

From start to finish I couldn't have wished for a better break, from the welcoming owners (Andy & Emma) with a 'Can Do' attitude when we pulled up, to the recommendations of local attractions and showing us the local pub to help us settle in after a long trip the whole experience was great!

Nicely positioned away from the hustle and bustle of Newquay town centre but close enough to enjoy the beaches and bars when you want to.

Lovely views & walks, freshly cooked afternoon cakes, great breakfast and good company this is definitely the best B&B I've been to in the UK in the 21st century! I highly recommend you come here to unwind its worth every penny!

Room Tip: Take a trip to Padstow if the weathers good & definately do the pub quiz at the Mermaid pub oppo...

Look at the rating...nothing more to be said.
It's the second time that I have been with Andy and his lovely partner Emma and yet again they managed to exceed my expectations by miles. It is not only the beautiful view, the good laughs with them, the great breakfast and the good recommendations the 2 have for you, and it's not only the love and attention to detail and the really great atmosphere that makes 'The Cove' something really unique in the UK...to best describe it, I guess it's just the feeling of coming home after a long journey and the welcoming nature of the two of them. You can tell it was their dream and they live and live up to it every second.

Many Thanks for a wonderful time and all the Best to You Emma and Andy. Hope to see you again at some point in the future.

BR,

Val

Andy and Emma make you feel wonderfully at home at The Cove. They are great hosts, always happy to help and serve a fantastic breakfast. The rooms are all newly decorated, look fantastic and are extremely comfortable. The terrace has lovely views and we spent two very sunny afternoons there enjoying Emma's beautiful lemon drizzle cake, scones and tea.

Perfect location, walking distance into Newquay and close to The Mermaid pub which is great for families and couples alike, with good beer, pool and outdoor seating on the beach. From the guest house you can take lovely costal walks to Watergate Bay, Bedruthan steps and beyond!

This was our first stay at The Cove and we will definitely be back.
