Went to Glendorgal Hotel for a romantic getaway in March with my husband and what a great choice of hotel. We booked via lastminute.com so we paid less than the hotel's advertised price.
Our booking included unlimited access to the spa and fitness centre (we didnt realise this when we booked so this was an added bonus). You would obviously have to pay for any treaments but you get free use of the sauna, steam room, pool, jacuzzi and gym. I had full body massage which was quite nice, not the best i've had, but she did a good job. Our booking also included a good breakfast with more choice than we'd expected. The restaurant looks out onto the ocean too so breakfast was a pleasure.
Very friendly and accomodating staff.
We booked one of the cheaper rooms so we didnt have the doors looking out onto the ocean. We had a window instead but our views were not bad from the room. The walk down to the beach is great, very picturesque.
The only negative comments are that I thought the carpet choice was rather odd carpet as it hurt a bit if you walked around the room barefoot. Also the rooms were a tad small.
Nice touch with the Molton Brown products.
All in all, a good hotel, I would definitely recommend.More
