We have been to this hotel a few times before as its a family favourite when booking holidays in Cornwall so we knew what to expect when we arrived. Andy, Lisa and all the staff are so friendly and will go out of their way for you. We arrived at 10.30am and booked into our room as it was ready straight away. The room booked had been recently fully refurbished and was a nice surprise having stayed in the same room only a few years ago. The food was out of this world, (as usual) and the kids ate nearly everything including food not normally eaten! We couldn't get the kids out of the heated pool they loved just playing around in there. Another great thing is that we loved was seeing the wildlife in the garden at night, whilst there we saw rabbits, badgers and foxes along with a few hedgehogs and local cat! all coming into the garden at night for leftover food put out by the hotel. The hotel has a quiet but well stocked bar which has lovely views over Porth and towards Newquay and we will be booking again for next year. If you enjoy good food, views and hospitality and want a relaxing holiday without entertainment every night then you wont be disappointed...

Room tip: Rooms with a sea views all have great views, I would book direct with Andy and Lisa

Stayed at this hotel for 7 nights bed & breakfast. Hotel was lovely with beautiful gardens and amazing wildlife. Breakfasts were great with a long list of choices all cooked well. Staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for you. The hotel is situated in an ideal place handy for lots of beaches and the town, yet it is in wonderfully peaceful Surroundings, which includes a heated swimming pool which was a pleasure to use . If I was asked I would say the addition of natural yoghurt to the already heavy laden and well stocked cereal and fruit bar, would have been a bonus, but I make that as an observation rather than a criticism.

Hi Lucy J Thank you for your review. Adventure before Dementia ! our team of Staff work really hard to make everyone's stay relaxed & friendly. We do have a lovely position, and lucky to be visited by wonderful wild life. We do currently include natural yoghurt along with fruit ones for Breakfast- but always happy for guests to make suggestions or ask for alternative items whilst here - only too pleased to assist.
Hope to see you again Lisa & Andy

My husband and I booked a hotel in Newquay (legacy Victoria) for a romantic break. It wasn't as described or what we were expecting having been misled completely by their website! We complained and got a full refund. As it was 7.00 on a Friday night we doubted there would be many vacancies in the area. We searched trivago and it gave us surrounding hotels with vacancies. The Whipsiderry Hotel was one of them with 1 room left. We booked straight in. Well what can I say. We were met with friendly helpful staff and owners. Nothing was too much trouble. This is a small run family business and the food is 5*. The rooms are clean and most overlook Porth beach and you are 5 mins from Watergate Bay. We have had a thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing stay and would highly recommend

We stayed at the Whipsiderry Hotel 21st-25th July 2016. We originally booked the hotel via Booking.com for a sea view double room, within minutes of booking through them I received a phone call from Lisa explaining that the room we had chosen wasn't available for our last day so they would have to move us. For us this wasn't a problem at all and we really appreciated the fact the Lisa had rang us to explain the situation as most hotels or b&b's probably would of left it until arrival to explain. We also cancelled our booking through booking.com and did it directly through the hotel as this was cheaper and I felt more comfortable doing that. On arrival we were greeted by Andy who was so friendly and made us feel welcome instantly, showing us around the hotel and making us feel at home. Our room was lovely and we had a fantastic view of Porth beach. The location of the hotel was ideal for us as it was nice and peaceful, however it is up a bit of a hill! (the views make up for this). Breakfast at the Whispsiderry was faultless! The waitresses were so friendly and always provided a great service! On our last night (Sunday) we decided to go for dinner at the hotel. I am a very fussy eater so for me I was a little hesitant as to whether I would like it or not. It cost us £25 per person plus drinks which is a fantastic deal for a 6 course meal! All 6 courses (even tea and coffee) was so lovely and we couldn't fault it at all! I tried food that I wouldn't normally and I couldn't fault anything. Again, the service provided was at a top standard and we were made to feel very welcome! On our last night, we had to move rooms. We were told that the cleaners would move everything for us so we could go and enjoy our day, however we had a lot of bags and a big suitcase so we moved things ourselves, but the room was ready pretty much after breakfast so we hadn't wasted our day waiting around! We was expecting to go to a room with a view of the road, however we were moved into a double room with a single bed in, both having windows over looking the beach, so we felt very lucky having the opportunity to stay in another room with a fantastic view!! Overall our stay at the Whipsiderry was faultless and we will definitely be returning, and this time we will book directly through Lisa and Andy! 100% recommended!

Room tip: Book directly through Whipsiderry!
