Just returned from a great holiday at the hotel. We had everything from free newspaper, lunch time snack pack, decent food, friendly staff and all inclusive bar as well. The hotel is in a great position for walks on the beach, the cliffs, into town in five minutes and buses pass the door.If you can ,upgrade to a seaview room. Well worth it for the views of the beach and surfers. The lounge areas were the best we have come across in Shearings hotels. Spacious and well decorated. The management are to be commended for the friendly attitude of the staff. We are seniors who are able to get about and stairs are not a problem. The lift was not very good, only two at a time. Would be difficult for quite a few people. We spoke to people who were on a repeat visit. Speaks for itself!

i went to this hotel all inclusive the staff were fab they were very nice my room was always kept clean but this hotel is not for children i found it is better for older people with no walking disabilities. I payed £350 for my 2 year old boy and £350 for my 6 year old girl and the hotel did not provide a childrens menu so i was having to go out and pay for food for my children , i also was not given a room with a bath so it was difficult showering my 2 year old. The lift is very very small ,the entertainment was ok if you like to play bingo every night , i did not go much on the menu at dinner not much of a selection ,but the hotel is in a prime place right on the beech front and a 2 min walk into the town. We also found the drink from behind the bar seemed to be watered down the coke was like drinking water with abit of flavour not very nice.

FANTASTIC!!! Week Myself and my daughter 47, 21 last weekend returned from the Beresford hotel in Newquay. First holiday with shearings. The whole holiday was amazing we were treated very special and found all the staff to do everything they could to make it one of our best holidays ever. Yes the hotel is mainly full of oaps but there were a few of different mixed ages. The night entertainment was mostly ballroom dance music and singers from the 60s. With a few disco hits at the last 20 minutes. A magician one night. But we made the best of it and made some great friends. The bar staff Jason,Marius, & Craig night porter Neil
worked hard and were very friendly to everyone had a right laugh. We found the meal portions to be small especially the breakfast so make most of the cereals ect. But of good quality and plenty of choice at main meals. The lounges were very comfortable and clean as the beds and sheets .spotless. Our bus driver was Jason who was good at his job informing us of all the interesting sites and had a great sense of humour. Would I recommend the hotel o yes!!! Hotel location fabulous beach just over the road great view from the hotel with a beer at nightime. We booked another shearings hol 2 days after coming home and we will definitely return next year to the same place (hopefully the entertainment will be for a wider age group) not just the over 60s we are your future, shearings!

Just returned from a Shearings holiday at this Hotel. Had a marvellous time, very good food friendly staff and our driver Neil is one in a million, he really helped to make our holiday. Our bedroom 39 was very dark as our window faces a brick wall! we requested a fan as there is no natural air flow but it was clean and the beds comfy. The bathroom needs a complete re-fit but was usable. The lifts just take 2 people! The packed lunch was a let down with just a packet of crisps a biscuit and a small drink. The holiday was well worth the money we paid,--the "FREE" bar is fantastic as is the entertanment. Yes I would go again, if only for the marvellous cliff top walks.
