Spent two nights on a spa break for two. Cost £200,which included b&b and £100 to spend within the Hotel and Spa. The staff were excellent, the food was excellent, the facilities are excellent and the room was more than that. We had a wonderful time and when we can afford to go back, we will. Would definitely recommend.

We booked in for a long weekend for my birthday. Was upgraded to a room with sea view. The room was fantastic as was everything in hotel. Had a massage there which was fab and used all the spa sauna pool and Jacuzzi. The staff was great very friendly and helpful. We cant wait to go back there, the views are to die for. Certainly a bit of paradise here on earth

Room Tip: We stayed in room 4 and had a fantastic view. could lay in bed and watch the sea and surfers

Absolutely fantastic myself and my partner came away for a relaxing weekend we got that and much more, Katie the receptionist was more than helpfull on arrival very attentive extremely polite fantastic customer service : ). We have stayed in a lot of hotels in newquay and come her twice a year but this hotel beats them all by far. There's rooms with sea views, massage avaliable and other treatments also a pool and jacuzzi. By far the best hotel I shall be back again : ) well done team : ) keep up the good work.

We stayed for 2 nights. Booked treatments in the spa for the 1st day and enjoyed a lovely relaxing day in the excellent spa facilities, followed by fantastic treatments. Room was amazing, wonderful views over the bay. Lovely complimentary 'treats' added to the experience. Staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. 15 min walk to the town of Newquay the location was ideal for a relaxing weekend. Extremely good value for money. Thank you for a lovely weekend. We will definitely be returning.

My Fiance and I stayed here for his birthday the beginning of this month for 3 nights and I couldnt have asked for a better hotel. Staff couldnt have done more for me when booking, the room was lovely however VERY hot (Could do with air con) with an outstanding view over the sea. Although the weather wasnt great the spa facilities were there to use to keep us occupied. Couldnt rate this hotel higher they will deffinatley be seeing us again!!

Room Tip: Deffinatley recommend paying that little bit more for a sea view!!

Dear Emma C

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel and I please that we were able to make your fiancés Birthday so special. I appreciate your comments regarding air conditioning however as a business we are keen to be green and we have a gold accreditation from the green tourism board to support this. To install air conditioning it would go against our green policy.

Just returned from a 4 day break at the newly refurbished Fistral Beach Hotel, JAN 5TH /JAN 8TH, all i will say it was perfect, everything that previous reviews have stated is true, TRY IT,
believe me worth every penny, we were also very lucky to be there during the stormy weather
which showed Fistral Bay as its most wildest,& some beautiful sights as the sea hit the shore.

Thank you to all the staff at the hotel that made our stay so wonderful,

one wee small, gripe, Air conditioning ? the bedrooms are hot at night.,

Room Tip: although we did not have one, but if you book one on the top shelf, veranda, jacuzzi, they are well...

Hi

Thank you for your lovely review and I am pleased that you had such a lovely time staying with us. I will admit that we haven't seen Fistral looking as wild and windy as it did that week for a very long time. I hope that you are able to re visit in the summer time and see how different the area looks then.

Kind Regards

My husband and I stayed at the Fistral Beach Hotel for 3-nights over the New Year.

We had room 304 on the top floor, with a balcony overlooking the beach.

The best thing about the hotel was the staff - without exception, they were friendly, helpful and efficient. Overall, a fantastic team who totally understand the concept of customer service, from putting complimentary balloons in our room when I told them it was my husband's birthday on New Year's Eve, to arranging a lovely cake, to sorting out a problem with our leaking toilet in an efficient and exemplary manner.

The room was also great, with fantastic views + a very comfortable & stylish bedroom & en-suite.

However, we experienced 2 issues during our stay - one big and one not so big.

Re. the not so big, the pillows were horribly hard, so I would suggest you bring your own to overcome this problem. Alternatively, the hotel might consider buying some good quality / soft pillows.

Now the really big issue ......the room was extremely hot, hitting around 80F each night of our stay (I have a digital thermometer on my alarm, so I can be certain this was the case), even though we had no heating on, both the balcony and bathroom French doors open and the bedroom curtains pulled back to let any cooling breeze in from the gale blowing outside !! Fortunately, we had read a previous review complaining about this very thing, so we came armed with a portable fan which enabled some patchy sleep, but the noise of the sea due to the open French doors and the amount of light entering the room due to the need to open the curtains in search of a cooling breeze, led to 3 very restless and disturbed nights. I really dread to think what temperatures will be reached in the bedrooms in the summer.... I would have thought intolerable unless you are a Saharan nomad used to extreme temperatures !? We did mention the issue to staff on a couple of occasions, but they had no solutions to offer beyond checking that the towel rail wasn't on (it wasn't) and opening the windows of our room even wider when we went out for the day !

Interestingly, when we left the hotel on chilly 1st January (in the midst of more rain and wind), we looked up and saw that about 40% of the balcony doors were open and about the same percentage of windows. So obviously guests on our floor and other floors were also experiencing the same problem. We never discovered the cause of the problem, but perhaps the installation of saunas, a jacuzzi and swimming pool in the basement spa has resulted in a very overheated hotel ??

Overall, we would visit again for the location, comfort and customer service - but only if the hotel first has air-conditioning installed in the bedrooms. Failing that, next time we visit Newquay we would look at the lovely traditional 'Headland Hotel' just across Fistral Bay.

Dear Joanne

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel and your experience of staying here. I am sorry that there were a couple of elements of you stay which did not live up to your expectations and I would like to assure you that all feedback both positive and negative is taken seriously.

We take on board your comments regarding air conditioning but we achieve a Gold status 3 years ago for our continued dedication to green tourism and it is against our sustainability policy to have air con in every room.

Kind Regards
