This is my BF and my 2nd time here and we had an upgrade this time, well the van is smart and a bigger tv but the mattress is lumpy and very uncomfortable and the settee is a downgrade as it was really hard to sit in for any length of time, the staff have been lovely throughout our stay but we had food in the Polkerris and my steak wasn't as rare as I asked plus there wasn't any steak juice,it was dry, they also forgot my onion rings,my BF's meal was lovely,he had the surf and turf, the site is really clean and tidy aswell,My BF went fishing and he said that 7 out of 20 fish that he caught had got alcers but he said the sport was good,we want to come back but are a little wary about the mattresses, overall the holiday was a good one.

Myself and 5 of my friends have been returning to White Acres Resort over the past 6 years for an annual fishing trip. Unfortunately our stay this year was somewhat of a disappointment mainly due to the unsatisfactory customer service received. Upon our arrival the main reception staff were as usual quite attentive and we were allocated nearly new caravans. So far so good, but Unfortunately there after it was all down hill. The Restaurant cook and his apprentice were rude and walked around in grubby clothes which was enough to put us of our food. We had Pizzas on the Sunday which were disgusting and very expensive. We did complain and the young girl was quite apologetic, however the cook was again very rude and made it very clear that he couldn't care. The bar staff too were very attentive and pleasant to speak too, just a shame some of the other staff weren't the same. We attended the on site fishing tackle shop twice and was ignored by the staff on both occasions. No help or guidance was given and in fact made us feel most unwelcome. The fish caught were also in quite bad condition which wasn't nice to see. In summary I certainly wouldn't take my family to this resort and would be reluctant to return for the fishing. This resort in the past was fantastic but over the years has lost it's way with its visitors. A real shame.

Room Tip: Choose a different resort.

We are repeat customers to White Acres, been coming for 6 years, we've never stayed in their accommodation, we've always booked a private caravan which is why we haven't said 5 stars as I can't comment on their own accommodation.
The site is immaculate, very well presented, the caravans are nicely spaced out.
The shop is well stocked, fresh bread and pastries etc.
Lovely walks around the lakes on site and dog friendly, which is why we love it so much.
The whole of Cornwall is super dog friendly, and apart from beaches at St Ives and Porth dogs are allowed.
White Acres is well situated to visit lots of places around Cornwall.

We ended up at this site due to being transferred from Newquay Holiday Park ( see separate review). The site is huge but very quiet, clean, tidy and friendly. Our children 6, 9 and 10 enjoyed the play area's, pool and amusements. They were disinterested in the evening entertainment and therefore we used the bar area. This area was relaxing and comfortable. We encountered a couple of problems with staff during our stay, firstly in the chip shop ( rude, arrogant, no customer service, no organisational skills and dirty finger nails!!) ended up getting the duty manager Helen to sort a situation...long story but money back and would never use again. Also a bar staff member tried to get me to recommend him for a customer satisfaction form. No problem as he gave excellent service....he told me it was his first day and felt pleased he was doing well as never done the job before and it was all new to him as a bar tender. On closer inspection of his badge to get his name it said "supervisor" ! when questioned how someone can make it to supervisor on their first day he laughed in my face saying he left and came back. I Accused him of lying and he said yes I'm a liar but it gets me brownie points!! The restaurant is nothing special and only used once due to once again surely staff..got our own menus and needed to ask for service etc. Our caravan was exceptionally clean and comfortable (take a tin opener). All in all a friendly site although Parkdean really need to look into the staff who let down the the members doing a sterling job. If you work in hospitality then please be hospitable!! Shop well stocked and lovely staff work here. Enjoy your holiday

Stayed here for the second time in 3 years, the last time i was very disappointed however things have got better, we had a caravan right by the play area so my son was happy, and i could be in the caravan just keeping an eye out the window, the kids entertainment has improved my son loved it and couldn't wait for it each day ,my only complaint would be the pool activities which the staff did not police very well with big kids pushing the little ones of the floating island a few parents were annoyed bout this.. My only other disappointment was the restaurant last time it was nice this time AWFUL we only ate there on the first night and avoided it afterwards, a few other people staying made similar comments so parkdean please sack your chef and employ a new one, all in all a good stay, my husband enjoyed the fishing and we will return

Couple visiting with a dog and worth going to. No probs with the dog and they are very acceptable for pets.
Pool needs a good clean and I think it was slightly over priced but happy with the caravan.
Carbon monoxide alarm was going off one night for no reason and had to turn off fuse switch also fish and chip shop was rubbish, food in restaurant was great and bar also very good. Entertainment was what u expect cheap and cheerful.
