“Fantastic new Owners - Home from home”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2013

We stayed one night at the Kallacliff for a wedding in the area. We were welcomed by new owners Liz & Colin. You would never know they had only just taken over the management as everything was sleek and ran like clockwork. We were offered a sea view room when we booked and the view was stunning. The rooms were well equipped, immaculately clean and well decorated. We were given a pot of tea for 2 (with fresh milk!) on arrival in our room which was a really homely touch.
It was very quiet so we had a lovely lie in and the breakfast was delicious! I would highly recommend a stay here. Nothing is too much trouble for this fab couple.
We will definitely be back with our children this summer. !!! Good Luck x

Room Tip: Get a sea view. Great to wake up to.

we have stayed here a few times now and each time we have had a fantastic stay.
the rooms are all of a very high calibre, and the breakfast is always spot on :-)
we are planning another visit for 2013
well done Brian + Sue - we would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: room 8 has its own small balcony - but all the rooms are fantastic

More like a B& B, with the additional advantage of available bar service, it offers nice touches including the decanter of sherry awaiting you in your comfortable and updated room with en suite bathroom. Breakfast is prepared and served by the owners , Brian and Susan Sidnell in the solarium room overlooking the sea.
This is a remarkable couple. My wife had a vertigo episode during our stay and Brian not only insisted on driving us in his car to a nearby clinic, but refused to let us pay for her medication, describing his gallantry as “a Cornish Custom”.
Strongly recommended for its friendly service, modern and comfortably-furnished rooms, cliff-top, sea-view location and value for money.

Room Tip: Ground floor preferable

I stayed here with my friend as a mini get away. We booked the Kallacliff hotel because it was by the sea and not too expensive.
It is a great place to stay and only a 10 minute walk from the town centre.
The breakfast was lovely and the breakfast room had stunning sea views.
Although we got there a little early we were allowed to check in anyway, and on the day we left we were provided with our breakfast early too. The owners were great and nothing was too much trouble.
We had a great stay and I will definitely be returning.

I was recommended this place from some other locals, and it certainly didn't disappoint.  All of the rooms were well appointed (I had a look around before the other guests arrived), with almost all of them having a sea view.
The owners Sue and Brian were really genuine throughout, welcoming me at the door when they heard I was on my way up from the beach.
The variety of fruits for breakfast was excellent, and the cooked breakfast pretty good too.
There were a few particularly nice touches in the room, such as a small bottle of sherry in the room, with some glasses on arrival, and chocolate bar with the usual range of self-help hot drinks.
Literally a stone's throw from the beach (although I wouldn't recommend it, because it's a long way down with people below).  For me, living near a comparatively busy road normally, it was incredible to be here, sleeping with the window open, to the sound of waves on the sandy shore, and the occasional sea gull, and very few cars at any time.
Chatting with Brian at breakfast, he seemed to know most of the people walking and driving past, so clearly has a lot of local respect.
The hotel is also only a few minutes' walk from the main town, should you want to head that way too.
I'm certainly happy to recommend it.
All in all, if you're looking for a relaxing, casual, comfortable time away while you're visiting Newquay, this is a great place to stay.

Our 2nd stay at this wonderful hotel and just as expected. Lovely location 1 min from Lusty Glaze Beach. 20 min walk into Newquay and 10 mins from Porth Beach.
Excellent breakfast by the team. Lovely comfortable rooms. Will be visiting again.
