“Ellen ~ A Home From Home”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

We stayed at the Kallacliff when we went to cornwall for our friends wedding. Liz and Colin were great hosts and immediately made us feel very welcome. The place is a real home from home, relaxed, down to earth atmosphere, very comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. Colin and Liz are very warm and friendly, they have two beautiful Boxer dogs and gorgeous fluffy cats all friendly.
The town and beach are a mere 'stretch of the legs' away....fabulous views and beaches.
It was great value and all in all it was a great stay. It made the wedding a joy.

Room Tip: I stayed in Room 7 very comfortable and good views of the sea

We stayed in the Kallacliff hotel over the weekend of 17/18 May, we booked the whole hotel out as accommodation for some of our wedding party for our wedding at Lusty Glaze. From when we arrived Liz and Colin could not have done more, they were amazing hosts, bringing us champagne afternoon tea on arrival which was a fab surprise. They provided lifts into town, offered lifts to the airport for other guests, last minute lunches etc.
The rooms were spotlessly clean, with complimentary toiletries, large clean towels, not to mention the fab sea views. Breakfast was ordered the night before and served in the conservatory overlooking the sea which is just gorgeous, great selection of cooked breakfast or smoked salmon etc. with fresh fruit, juices, cereals, fresh coffee, tea, toast etc.
The bar area is great, and well used by the wedding party. Lovely lawn area with picnic tables overlooking the sea is the perfect place to grab a cold beer or cider.
There's a large car park - free of charge.
The hotel is literally steps from Lusty Glaze and a short walk into town, although more than likely Colin will drive you in. It is a super base for anyone staying in Newquay, especially those wanting to be just slightly out of the town centre. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel - we found it very difficult to leave and cannot wait to return.
A massive thank you to Liz and Colin, amazing hosts that couldn't have done more in providing the best wedding accommodation xx

Room Tip: take a sea view....you wont be disappointed

We were on a driving holiday, went to Lands End and back to Newquay for an overnight prior to heading back to London

Make sure you get the address for GPS!

Lovely spot, great rooms, really really friendly owners and great view with beaches and sunset on tap with a cold beer if needed!

Had a lovely Easter stay - Liz and Colin were the perfect hosts - even collecting us from the station at Par after a late arrival by train and our connection to Newquay had already departed. The accommodation exceeded our expectations, a lovely bedroom, and breakfast in a big conservatory overlooking the cliffs and sea. Stunning. The weather did its best to dampen our stay but it didn't. There is such a friendly atmosphere created by Liz and Collin it makes up for our unpredictable English weather. It's just like staying with your best friends and was difficult to leave. We managed to sample the special cream tea so it's just as well there are spectacular walks to compensate for the calorie gain :-) We have never walked so much - it's a hiker's heaven.
Colin's bar is very well stocked and the local cider he offered was excellent. We will be back to sample more later in the year!
Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable,
from Richard & Alison

Stayed at the kallacliff last week during the glorious weather that England basked in during my first tour on Cornwall. Liz and Colin are fantastic hosts and made us feel totally welcome.
The hotel is very clean and tidy and in a superb location over looking lusty glaze beach. Being able to sit in the dining room watching the spectacular sunsets is a must. And I can wholeheartedly recommend anyone to stay with Colin and liz.
Thank you both for a fabulous stay and look forward to seeing you again on my next visit to Cornwall . Xx

Just come back from a lovely 2 night stay. Wonderful views, good choice for breakfast, lovely friendly atmosphere. Great value for money and just a 10 minute walk into town along the cliff top. We are going back later in the year as we enjoyed it so much. The family room has 4 windows and you get the sunrise in one and the sunset in the opposite one and two look out over the sea, what more could you want

1st class accommodation. Real friendly owners. Great hospitality. Great rooms with a view to die for. Breakfast out of this world. What more can anyone ask for?? There were some real nice guests there as well so it was like a great big happy family party. Thank you very much for making our weekend very special. But beware we will be back to test the bar!!

Room Tip: I would suggest a front room if possible
