Literally just returned from 3 nights in Newquay, staying at St Bernard's and I wanted to say just how fantastic it was.
Louise was the perfect host. On arrival she showed us lots of recommendations for restaurants and places of interest in the area, which was backed up by a really thoughtful booklet in the room. Our room was a twin, decorated in black and white, which was lovely and modern.

Both the lounge and dining room areas were stunning. The decoration throughout the bnb is really cleverly thought out, and to my taste a lot!

I really enjoyed the breakfast, there was a good choice of cooked or selected items, with lots of toast and coffee/ tea. All very tasty! Louise and her husband would not let us go hungry, and offered us lots more!!

Finally just to say a big thankyou to out hosts. You were really really lovely and made our trip perfect. All the little touches, such as letting us leave cases too, were really kind of you.

I will certainly be back and can't wait to return!!

Stayed: July 2014

We were over from New Zealand for our daughters wedding and needed some space before the big event. A great place to stay. Exceptional hosts who accommodate your every need. Clean and comfortable rooms and a great breakfast that sets you up for the day. In our experience, you will not find any better than this. Love the animal friendly attitude too. New Zealand.... take note ! Thanks Lousie and John. You have an amazing place.

Room Tip: Room 7 is a smaller room but away from the main road. Big enough and quiet as.

We stayed for two nights and had a good time. Our room and the rest of the hotel was scrupulously clean and well decorated in a modern style. The bed was comfy and we slept well.
Louise was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her. You can book a table and bring back a takeaway, Louise warms the plates and clears up after you - excellent idea. Their wine is very reasonably priced too. The location is pretty central and close to most beaches - Fistral beach is about a 20 minute walk. Close to lots of restaurants too. We would stay again if we go back to Newquay.

Unbelievable value for money. My room was superior to many hotels i have stayed in and the friendliness of the owner was fantastic.
I defy anyone to find any fault with this guesthouse. It is fantastic in every way.

I cant recommend it highly enough.
