Stayed in a caravan for a week. Reception staff were always friendly and welcoming. Park was clean and quiet. Caravan was clean, couldn't fault it. It's the closest site to town, takes about 10mins, be prepared for the hill!

Lovely site that was nice and quiet while I was there. The staff were friendly and I couldn't find a single fault the whole week. I went there expecting a mountain to climb, going by some of the comments regarding the hill, but I stayed at the top of the hill, and it's wasn't all that bad.

10/10 will return next year. (and don't look so worried)

Room Tip: Van 120 is at the top of the hill, but is also next to the wardens, so it will be quiet.

We came back yesterday from the lovely Trenance Holiday Park. Had a lovely time. The Chalet we were in (Chalet 6) was clean and well equipped for the week, having a double bed for us, and a separate room for our toddler, they gave us a cot on loan for him but it wasn't used as he was happier in the bottom bunk of his bed.
The rooms were very big, especially the living room. The bathroom was very small though and the door to the shower was very narrow (im currently 24 weeks pregnant with my second baby and could only just squeeze through shower doors - my husband did laugh!)

The kitchen has most things you need, however as this is self catering remember to pack your own tea towels, bath towels, bin bags, clothes pegs and bed linen and hairdryer (the one thing I didn't pack thinking that the chalet would have - never mind!)

One problem which the site should address is the bins for each chalet, they are very convenient food sources for the local seagulls, the bins only protection is a steel mesh around a thick paper bin liner, which if you don't wrap up any rubbish correctly, the local seagulls peck through the bin and drag the rubbish out. We didn't have this problem with our bins, because we never put any food in them, but the neighboring chalet users did and so the grass was strewn with their rubbish throughout the week which the site owners then had to clean up.

The park has an onsite cafe which is lovely and has a great choice of meals which are good value for money, great tasting and the kids meals are only £1!! they even deliver to your chalet, tent or caravan if you like!

The park also has an onsite shop selling everything you need. The place could do with a cash machine though (though to be fair, I didn't ask them if they did)

The park is within easy walking distance of all the beaches (about ten mins to Tolcarne beach) and around twenty to Lusty Glaze, Great Western and Towan) all seem to be dog friendly too

The Caravan Park is just around the corner from Newquay zoo, Waterworld and Trenance Leisure Park which hosts crazy golf, The Little Western Railway and a great toddler park and cafe.

all in all, a great week spent here, we were lucky to get a week of great weather too!

we will be coming back next year for our holiday for sure.

Our first holiday to Trenance Holiday Park in 2012 was fantastic, we stayed in a chalet that year. Popularity boomed the following year and even though we booked early enough we only managed to get a caravan that time, it was just ok I think, everything was basic but functional. Sadly though 2013 would be our second but last year staying there, don't get me wrong there was no major problems, but you do get what you pay for, at the time of our stays the prices weren't too bad for clean but basic accommodation, but prices have gone up again and will probably continue to rise, to us it just isn't worth the money now, especially as times are hard for many people. We don't expect home from home and we do make do, but I think if Trenance want to keep customers returning, they might like to think about updating things a bit, it's a shame really as it's a nice quiet park, ideal if you don't want people wandering around at all hours, which can be a problem with many sites. I'd like to say we might return one day, but for now we will be trying elsewhere. I gave sleep quality average simply because the van we stayed in had a flock of seagulls on it at the crack of dawn every morning.

Room Tip: If you can, book a chalet.

This is our second visit to the park and again we can't fault it, it's clean, quite and in a great location, the reception staff have been friendly and the caravan is perfectly clean. We paid £170 for our caravan for 4 nights which is a Bargain, cheapest caravan park in Newquay walking distance to the town, several beaches and next door to Newquay zoo and waterworld. I will definitely be staying here for many years to come.

Lovely clean caravan. Helpful staff. Very family friendly. We had an amazing holiday here. You are allowed to BBQ next to your caravan and the site is a nice walk from the beaches and very close to the zoo. Would love to go back again.
