Comfortable bed and room. Was not expecting the DIY breakfast but it was fine. I guess I should have read more about the facilities but nowhere comfortable to sit inside the "hotel" except in the room.

Outside very quiet - a nice spot.

We stayed at Higher Faugan Parc from July 5th to July 11th this summer with our 2 ten-year olds. After a hectic 4 days in London we thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and beautiful surroundings at this wonderful place. The service was impeccable and we felt utterly pampered. We recommend Higher Faugan Parc to anyone who are travelling to this area and want a quiet, comfortable place to stay.

We just came back from a 2 night stay at Higher Faugan. Could not fault the room, everything was clean, stylish and even the smallest of needs were taken care off. The kitchen in the suite gave us the freedom to eat whenever we liked and was well stocked with different choices of bread, fruit , jams and juices. The drive up to the parc was scenic with trees overhead on a narrow bendy road, and well worth it once the gardens and greenery were revealed.

Whilst there is no restaurant on site, it was well situated for local eateries and we did not feel this detracted from and an excellent stay.

We only stayed at Higher Faugan for one night, but the house and gardens were so nice I wish we had more time to experience them.

We arrived with very little time to spare before having to get to Minack Theatre for a show, and we received very prompt and courteous service, and we also were lucky enough to receive an upgraded room. Room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The in-room continental breakfast was more than substantial. Different choices of bread with jams, yogurt, plenty of fruit, and cereal choices as well!

The location of the hotel is not really close to any attractions for exploring by foot, however we thought it was a perfect central spot for the activities we were doing in the area (Minack Theatre and St. Michael's Mount)

The only downside I can think of was the narrow winding road to get in to the hotel. But if you like a little excitement then it wasn't a downside at all!

We stayed at the Faugan Parc for five nights. The house and the gardens are simply beautiful, and there was a view as far as the sea from our window. The room was very comfortable - the look of the room might have been a bit dated for our metropolitan tastes, but nothing shabby or ugly. The owner couldn't have been more helpful - one of us was that nightmare guest who had just wrenched an ankle, and he very cheerfully put a cold compress in the freezer twice a day without question. We thought it was very reasonably priced and we're definitely going to return. It loses one star only because there aren't really facilities for breakfast - there's a toaster and so on in the room. It's perfectly reasonable, but we like a sausage and some bacon when we're on holiday. Anyway, we recommend it.

We arrived well before the website booking in time of 3 pm and the owner (Doug) introduced himself and spent some time showing us all the suits and gave us a choice

Our room (6) was spacious, tastefully decorated and immaculately presented. (In fact all the rooms were super) The bed was comfortable, the WiFi free,(All though it worked better in the corridor outside our room than in the room) and we were given keys so we could come and go. There was a microwave, kettle, Cafetiere, toaster and fridge in a mini-kitchen, and we were provided with milk, apple juice, fruit, yogurts, individually-wrapped white and brown bread and chocolate croissants, cereal etc. so we could have breakfast whenever we wanted. Perfect!

Doug was welcoming, informative about the area and took the time to carefully talk us through where things were in our room (the hairdryer etc.) We quickly felt completely at ease in his home, which was lovely. The building is both beautiful and rich in history (it was built as the home of Stanhope and Elizabeth Forbes of the well-regarded Newlyn School of painters at the start of the 1900's).

Higher Faugan Parc was the perfect setting for our 2 night stay in Cornwall. In fact it was pretty much the saving grace of our visit to Cornwall considering the weather we experienced!( Lots of rain)
A very comfortable stay which we'd thoroughly recommend and certainly repeat. Many top hotels would do very well if they could offer a standard of luxury even half as good as here

Room Tip: They are all good but the south facing rooms over look the sea
