“Very interesting gardens with too little information”
Reviewed 7 July 2014 via mobile

A massive set of gardens with plants from around the world growing in this sheltered area of Cornwall. Tree ferns, bamboo, magnolias, azaleas, rhododendrons, all sorts of things - but with too few actually tagged as to what they are. The walled garden is particularly special - lots of different "rooms". The raised beds in the kitchen garden are also worth seeing.

“A step back in time in this wonderful garden”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

It was a lovely, hot sunny afternoon and we walked for a good distance but it was so cool under the shade of the trees, and such a wide variety of plants to keep our interest, we found the experience a real treat and not too arduous - with the additional incentive of plenty of seats if one
wanted to pause and just drink in the atmosphere..

“English garden with exotic plants”
Reviewed 22 June 2014

I was surprised to see so many tropical plants in Cornwall. And this is one of the place you must not miss if you are interested in plants.

“Interesting Visit”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

The paperwork said - dog friendly - not experienced. But just a lovely garden to visit, well worth a half day... good restaurant for that all important afternoon cuppa! Relaxed atmosphere... come here to relax and unwind!
