The Turks Head is a very old pub and because of that, a classic in Penzance.
I looked forward visiting it but I read in a book about pubs in Cornwall by Tim Webb, that Admiral Benbow should be the visitors first priority.
The service at the Admiral Benbow was bad, as we had to wait 1 hour for our food while on the contrary the food and service at the Turks Head were very good indeed.
It is a pity that the decoration of the Turks Head is a bit boring compearing with several other pubs in Cornwall.
All in all, if you are looking for a good food pub, then you can't go wrong with the Turks Head but don't expect delightful original interiors because you''ll get disappointed.
