this is my fave pub in penzance, the staff are very welcoming. A very good selection of lagers and draught bitter. Its advisable to book for a table during peak season, although you can sit outside facing the harbour, and the pirate shop. We had mushroom sizzler and chicken sizzler, kids had fish and chips & scampi and chips. my son said that this was the best meal out he's ever had. Just inside the front entrance there is a smaller room for kids, like a games room with plenty of board games + tables for extra seating. Very famiy friendly, the bar is not crowded by drinkers. Altogether a great recommendation for food, atmosphere, drink and great staff

We didn't stay at the Dolphin Tavern but ate there - Excellent food, all home made, fantastic value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Inn is very welcoming, clean and comfortable. We wouldn't hesitate at booking to stay at the Inn from what we experienced in hospitality and food.
