We almost missed this gem - an unassuming small family run restaurant, on the first floor of a house a little back from the promenade at Penzance. So glad we tried it. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a panoramic sea view and warm welcome and pleased to see several tables already taken. The maître de and owner invited us to take any table. We took one for four, despite there being two of us. We were immediately served complimentary prawn crackers and chilli dip. Before selecting our starter and mains, the maître de said we could have ordinary (heat) a little extra or hot. We settled for medium and he said he would bring extra spices if needed. In the event the food was perfect. The tempura prawns large and wonderfully crispy, the prawn Pad Thai one of the best eaten (generous amounts of large prawns) and the chicken curry really tasty. The pick of the day wine was cheap and cheerful and the service fast and personal. Great meal.
