Thank you for your comments which we really appreciate. We understand customers' surprise that our cafe is a 'patrons only' cafe and your view is shared by others.

We would like to point out a couple of things.

Locals and regular visitors only pay the entry fee once a year and then enjoy free re-admission vouchers which give them access to the cafe all year round.

The other thing is that we do, of course, refund if a show is cancelled and unfortunately, due to the rather 'unseasonal' weather, have done so on 4 occasions this year already.

It is an amazing setting, with good local theatre, some not especially proffessional but it adds to the charm, just remember warm cloths, as it gets chilly as the sun sets. however it has amazing views up the coast and out to sea

I love this place! I have been quite a few times and though I have seen a few dodgy productions, the view is so magnificent, I forgive it. Yes, the seating is rather uncomfortable (hire the cushions or take your own). Yes, you can bake in the sun or get drenched in the rain but you can also take a picnic, meet friends there and just admire the dedication of the woman (and her minions) who built it.

The weather was awful...but if you put that aside (and make sure you wrap up warm and take waterproofs) it was a great evening out. Definite tips would be to pack a picnic...have it early because you really are packed in like sardines...and also hire a cushion for £1 (well worth it). The cafe sells hot drinks and snacks, so make sure you supplement this with your own food. Next time we are down this way we will be visiting again.
