Booked in for a performance as we wanted 'the whole' experience and it was brilliant. The play was great, the view was great (slightly distracting with all the seabirds flying around and the potential for cetaceans though...), the setting was great and the weather was (mostly) good. Received a text the day before to let us know that it would be possible to buy food at a stall in the main car park. In the confirmation email it was also highlighted that the kiosk would be open. Decided to just get the food there, at the stall in the car park - wrong choice! After 30 min. only 4 people had been served and we gave up, went to the kiosk and got chili con carne which was reasonable - but it is not for the culinary experience you should come here, so either dine before or bring your own food (and bring your own drinks as queues are looong). The seats are stone seats, so either bring your own pillows or rent a pillow (with backrest) for £1 at the kiosk - well worth it! It is probably also a nice place just to visit, but the play was definitely worth the extra money as that was what the place was actually built for! Am highly recommending this to everyone :)

We were lucky to have great weather, which made this visit that much better. A theatre carved into a cliff side is even more impressive than it sounds. The seating is very steep, so might scare someone afraid of heights. The backdrop of the sea is beautiful though, and we wished we could have stayed for a show.

We went on a sunny July morning and this setting was simply stunning. I remember seeing this on TV many years ago and as we were in the area thought it was worth a visit and how right we were. The upkeep in amazing and the facility is clean, but you must have good legs to access as there are lots of steep steps.

Wow. we had seen photos online before our visit, but nothing prepared us to have our breath taken away as it was . We literally could only stand at the top and try to take it all in for a few moments. It was stunning,

We wandered all around the site, and loved seeing the decades of progress, and variety of seating, and the permanent parts of the sets. What a backdrop for theatre!

We were able to see the show that night, and it was just so much fun! Do take blankets and rain ponchos, as it can get rather cool and windy, and the rain can blow in unexpectedly. T

The food is not over-priced, and the seat cushions fro hire for a quid are well worth it. Actually, we had the best chicken pasty of our trip to Cornwall right there!

Love how they allow the local theatre groups to perform there. What an experience that must be.

Have always wanted to visit this place and when we booked a surfing trip to Cornwall decided to include a trip here on our last day. Took my two youngest children, nephew and sister who uses a wheelchair to a story telling session by John Brolly. This place is absolutely stunning and well worth visit. John Brolly was amazing playing all, the parts in The Tempest. Will definitely try and book a full length show next time. Wheelchair access was good. You can take your own picnic. View of Porthcurno beach is outstanding, crystal clear waters.
