We were a family of five adults who spent a week in this Penzance cottage. Very well appointed and cosy. Weather was wonderful for October and we enjoyed the amazing views of the bay and St. Michael's Mount through the front window. It was only a short walk to the town and to the railway station. Highly recommend the scenic train ride from Penzance to St. Ives.
It was lovely to return to the cottage, knowing we would have a great stay, and that everything from towels and linen to a washing machine was provided. The Cream Tea was a lovely touch again. The location is perfect if you don't have a car, exactly 5 minutes from the station and 10 minutes from Tesco's, with lovely sea views. We will be booking our next stay soon.
Bayview cottage was the perfect place to spend a week. We had everything we could need and the cream tea on arrival was lovely. Bread and milk and other provisions such as tea and coffee were also provided. The cottage was very well positioned for beautiful coastal walks. We visited the Scilly Isles from Penzance Port just 15 minutes walk away. St Michaels mount was walking distance and a wonderful day out. The Minnack Theatre was not far away by car and an amazing place to visit and see a show. We had no problems with parking near the cottage and overall would definitely recommend it to our friends.
This cottage was just what we were looking for for our vacation. It was well equipped with everything you would need and it was nicely kept. It was in a great location - close to the train station, shops, grocery store, pubs and many places you'd want to site see. The view from the deck was amazing. The Cornish cream teas were an added bonus. We would definitely recommend this cottage to others. The only criticism would be parking on the hill, but that wasn't a big deal to our family.
Great accommodation in good location. Great views of St Michael Mount. Near to pubs, restaurants, supermarkets etc. Big enough for 6 adults. Large tele and good selection of DVDs and CDs. Slight downside: parking is tricky but that's Cornwall and there's no shaver socket so take an adapter plug.
We had a fantastic time staying here. The cottage was well equipped with two highchairs and baby safety gates, which was essential for our 15 month old. There was plenty of space for her to roam in the living room while the grown-up enjoyed the amazing views.
Having two double bedrooms for adults was also perfect as we stayed with my parents, while the large bunk in the third room was fantastic when our baby wanted some company while in her cot.
Location is perfect if you're arriving by train, as it's a quick walk. And with the bus station next to the rail station it's ideal for exploring local areas like Mousehole, St Ives and Saint Michael's Mount. The coast path is also right outside the doorstep which made for easy level walks, even with a pram
Would definitely stay here again!
