The rooms are well appointed with quality linen and fluffy toweling. Although we had the downstairs smaller room, it was still a very comfortable stay with a really comfy bed. The highlight is breakfast and Lynn's friendly hospitality. The local produce, especially the bacon, is fantastic. We'll definitely be back when next in Penzance.

I stayed two nights with my boyfriend in this B&B and we just loved it. It is about 10-15 minutes walk from the rail and bus stations but it is in front of the sea and it's on the promenade so it's a pleasant walk. This B&B is very close to the city centre and to Newlyn as well, so you can go there walking. There are only 4 rooms in this B&B plus the kitchen and although the owner is not on site, you can call her any time if you need.
We stayed in the small double room in the ground floor and I found it so lovely: it's got a marine theme and the bathroom is spacious: the shower is a dream, very relaxing indeed. The room was clean and there is a hairdryer and all the toiletries you need (so don't make my mistake: don't carry anything!). The wifi is very good as well.
The check in is at 4.30 pm but we got to Penzance with the night train so we went there much earlier and Lynn kindly gave us the room key so that we could come back later and we left our backpacks there.
Lynn is an amazing host: she asked at what time we wanted breakfast and what we wanted. Her breakfast is delicious and she also advised us on where to go for lunch and dinner and what to visit.
I would definitely go back and I would recommend this B&B to couples because even if it might be more expensive than others, it's definitely worth every single penny.

Room Tip: If possible and within your budget, go for a room on the first floor because they have a much better...

The B&B is located right near the water, all you need to do is step outside and see a beautiful view. It was easy to find and free parking was available right in front of hotel until 9am.
We've arrived around 9.30pm on a Sunday and the nice lady who runs this B&B explained where she left a key for us and how to get in. We got an exceptional breakfast in the morning (fresh berries, local honey, toasts + full english cooked on the spot) and some valuable advice on things-not-to-miss in the area. It's such a shame we couldn't stay longer! Penzance is absolutely charming.

Our room was nicely decorated, but really tiny. The shower was splendid. The two reasons I'm giving our experience four stars and not five are due to the noise coming from the street and the absence of AC, which combined really disturbed our sleep.

Room Tip: If you're sensitive to street noise stay away from the ground level room that faces the street

Stayed at Sophia's bed and breakfast in Penzance for three nights in July. The b&b was tastefully decorated with an amazing view of the sea. Our room on the first floor was spotlessly clean and the bed was super comfy. Lynne the host couldn't do enough to help and her local knowledge helped us make the most out of our stay. Gutted we only stayed for three nights but definitely plan on returning. :-)

Room Tip: Book early!

We stopped at Sophia's before travelling across to the Scillies. The room was lovely, clean, well appointed and beautifully designed. While Lynn doesn't live there, she was very accommodating to help us get to the harbour in time in the morning. The lovely food for breakfast was one of the best I have ever had, well cooked, high quality, local produce.
The parking outside was OK after the restrictions had finished as we parked in the town centre during the day and were out and about during the day.
The Turks Head for dinner would be my choice, about a 10 minute walk. Only comment was that we had a noisy next door neighbour.

Room Tip: Upstairs isn't easy for big bags but has the better views.
