We try to visit various gardens when we come to Cornwall & Tremenheere was a new one to us & we weren't disappointed. Luckily we chose a day when it wasn't raining to walk around & spent 3 or 4 hours just wandering around the gardens taking in the plants, flowers, sculptures & various huts & buildings.

I could describe the various architectural exhibits, but I imagine some sculptures might be changed or added to & I think it would take away the surprise for new visitors .....

However, there's ample parking & a good refreshment building to return to after the walk.

We look forward to returning the next time we're in the area.

We spent an afternoon here enjoying the informality of the gardens with stunning views across Mount's Bay. The gardens are developing in terms of sculpture and part of the challenge is finding them. The centre piece is worth going to see in its own right - James Turrell's 'Twilight in Cornwall' - this is an elliptical chamber beneath the ground where one sits and looks at the sky above. The chamber is all white and the effect looking out is incredible. We say it is summer light - a night visit would be good too. Clap your hands when sitting in the exhibit and see what happens! The Lime Tree Café on site is really excellent. We shall return.

Everything about this place is fab, the welcome is always warm and the food devine. Platter evening was excellent value and delicious.

Beautiful gardens, the sculptures were ... artistic ... if they were there. Half the sculptures on the map did not seem to be there, or were not understood by us perhaps? But what a gardens!
