Owner description: Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens is a major attraction in West Cornwall. In a beautiful sheltered valley, the woods, stream and dramatic vistas provide a perfect setting for large-scale exotic and sub-tropical planting. Interwoven with this there is also an evolving programme of contemporary artwork. The very favoured micro climate of kindly winter temperatures and shelter from the wind allow exotic and half - hardy plants to flourish. The planting schemes are appropriate to the varying individual habitats but carry a unifying theme of sculptural forms, textures and colours, complementing what nature has already provided. Dramatic landscape and planting provide the backdrop to contemplative but inspirational artworks. Internationally renowned artists such as James Turrell, David Nash, Richard Long and Tim Shaw have interacted with the setting to create site-specific permanent work, which harmonise with the landscape.

Just went for cake and coffee this time and a look at the fabulous Roman temple on the hill. There are a few pieces of sculpyure to be seen without going into the gardens which are stunning but this was a rainy day. The cafe is superb, quality, quality in every way. Proper cake made in the traditional way and tastes like good ingredients have been used. Lovely people and good service too.

This magical place will leave you gasping for breath. Totally gorgeous. Amazing sculptures and always some quirky events happening on certain evenings, films, poetry and history readings, interesting plays. Something for everyone. When you finish rambling around the garden, pop into the Lime Tree cafe for delicious food. Always excellent quality. They close at 4 pm but on the event evenings they are open again after 6 pm.If you like succulents, you will be spoiled for choice in the wee garden centre beside the cafe. This one is a must. The cafe gets extremely busy (we locals love it!), so if it's lunch you're after, it's well worth making a reservation.

Hidden away this place is really worth a visit. Sculptures are good and so are the gardens - walk and explore. Nice restaurant serving really good lunches. Well worth a visit

Lovely coffee and a good selction of cakes in a tranquil setting. I come here a lot to the cafe but only been round the gardens once, which was excellant just a little expensive to visit often.
