We chose the Blue Seas because of its glowing Tripadvisor reviews and it was everything we could have wished for. Well situated, with sea views but away from the main road, superbly run, spotless rooms, with really nice furniture and decor, loads of space for clothes, bags etc. Fiona and Arnaud are friendly, professional and knowledgable about the area, providing a personal service that is just at the right level. Breakfasts are delicious, lots of choice of cooked breakfasts, lovely fresh croissants, Cornish cheeses, fresh fruit, excellent coffee . We were lucky with glorious weather, and the colourful, well tended front garden with chairs, benches and low tables became quite a social centre as we all came back from our days out and exchanged news. Our room, at the top, had sea views from the bedroom at the front and views over the church gardens from the bathroom at the back - both are nice. And all this for a very reasonable price. We recommend the Blue Seas unreservedly.

We stayed here on our way to and back from the Scilly Isles. It is conveniently placed within walking distance of the dock. The owners are very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The quiet rooms are very clean and well decorated with comfortable beds and nice touches such as high quality toiletries and home made biscuits. I appreciated the supply of blankets in the cupboards as I find duvets too warm. A wonderful breakfast could not have been improved. Altogether full marks for this guesthouse.

Immaculate, spotlessly clean, welcoming, fantastic breakfasts, nice little touches. What more is there to say?

Room Tip: Rooms at the front are best - view of Newlyn

My wife and I stayed at the Blue Seas during our honeymoon in 2004 and it remains a marvellous memory. Arriving tired and wet after a long journey and a walk through the rain from the station, we were very warmly welcomed with tea and biscuits in the lounge and then shown to our charming room in which had been placed flowers and chocolates! I am really glad to see that Arnaud and Fiona are still there as they were so helpful and friendly and as everyone rightly says, the breakfasts are simply wonderful!
We really hope to return soon to relive the experience!

My mother and I stayed here for 3 days while visiting relatives in Cornwall. It was such a wonderful experience. The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated. We had a room at the front which looked out on the front garden and the sea beyond - it was spring and lovely with flowers. The service was personal and friendly, and Fiona and Arnaud were wonderfully kind and helpful with all aspects of our trip.
The food was AMAZING. The bread is baked fresh every day by Arnaud, the jams and marmalades homemade, the eggs perfectly poached, best scrambled eggs ever. Fresh and local products are used. Lots of repeat visitors, and we will certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: Front rooms have a lovely view.

This is the best place we have EVER stayed on vacation. The rooms are spotless and each morning we were provided with a different "snack". The breakfasts are top-notch and the level of service provided by the owners, Fiona and Arnaud, is amazing.

Every time we spoke to Fiona she was quick to check how we're doing and provide us tips on how to get around or good places to go. We felt so welcome we didn't want to go home!

We ran into an issue with our debit card (international charges) and they handled the situation graciously and allowed us to rectify the situation AFTER we checked out. If you are thinking about booking Blue Seas then do it NOW. You wont regret it!
