“Perfect Place in Penzance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2011

My father and I stayed at Blue Seas for six nights on a father-daughter trip to England in August 2011. Our experience could not have been nicer--everything was splendid. The owners of Blue Seas, Arnaud and Fiona, run a top-quality bed and breakfast with true professionalism. They greeted us at the start of our stay by offering tea and scones to us, weary travelers who had just flown from Massachusetts to London overnight and then taken a five-hour train ride from London. Our room was comfortable, tastefully decorated, clean, and contained all the amenities one might need, plus baked goods left for us daily by Fiona. Breakfast was fabulous every morning with more delicious choices than one could imagine on the menu and a bountiful buffet spread in addition. There was something for everyone--and Fiona and Arnaud were always ready to accommodate any special dietary needs. We received lots of great advice from our hosts about local places to eat, public transport schedules, and attractions. They were able to provide us with timetables, brochures, and lots of great insight into the Penzance and greater Cornwall area. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. We would definitely highly recommend Blue Seas to anyone visiting Penzance.

We just had to come back again and are still bowled over by the exceptional hospitality shown to us by Fiona and Arnaud. Nothing is too much trouble and the breakfasts are amazing. They really do keep you going until the evening! Needless to say we're already booked in for next year!

We recently stayed at The Blue Seas Hotel in Penzanace after selecting it following the reviews we had read. Thought it would be too good to be true but it was everything and more of what people had said. We travelled around Cornwall by train and this hotel was in a perfect location for the train station, also close enough to the bus station and the centre. It was peaceful and quiet and Arnaud & Fiona were the PERFECT hosts - the breakfast was fabulous as described - the homemade biscuits on the tea tray were a perfect touch as was the fudge there was nothing that anyone could find fault with, even the Hotel Inspector would have her work cut out here finding fault !!! We think that all B&B owners should spend a few days here and see "how it's done" !!. The other guests who were staying there at the time had all been here before (on several occasions) so we knew we had booked a winner, we would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend this B&B to anyone. It was better than any hotel chain and the best B&B we have ever stayed in. This was our first ever trip to Cornwall and we will definetly be returning soon to this beautiful part of the country and this wonderful establishment.

Blue Sea is possibly the best B&B I have ever stayed in. It certainly more than lived up to the Reviews I had read on tripadvisor. I opted for a double room with a Sea View - the room was excellent with a fantasic shower room (with the added bonus of a window). Those extra little touches (so often missing) like somewhere in the Shower to put your soap, sponge etc, and a hook just outside for your towel make all the difference. Both the room and the shower room were spotless with plenty of storage space for clothes. Fiona and Arnaud are friendly and helpful without being over bearing. The choice of breakfast is amazing and beautifully cooked and presented by Arnaud. The biscuits or cakes in the room were also all home made with a different selection each day. I would certainly recommend Blue Seas and hope to return next year.

This was our third stay at the Blue Seas Hotel, and, as on previous occasions, we were made very comfortable. The room was good, everything was clean, the proprietors were friendly and helpful, and breakfasts were superb. The location is ideal - central, virtually on the sea front, and close to restaurants. The proprietors aim to be as "green" as possible, sourcing things locally where they can. Thoroughly recommended.

Right on the seafront, great value, superb service and nothing was ever too much trouble - would certainly stay here again, if only to have one of those breakfasts again (no need to eat again till dinner, saved a fortune). Really can't rate it highly enough.

We stayed here for a few nights in June. When we arrived we were very warmly welcomed with tea and home made biscuits in the pretty garden out the front. Our room was lovely, very modern, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, there was even a little baked treat placed in in our room every day. Arnaud and Fiona the hosts are so helpful and friendly and Arnaud cooks the most amazing delicious breakfasts (well worth staying just for the breakfasts 5 star!) The Blue Seas is a close walk to many cafes and pubs and many other attractions.
We really hope to return soon to relive the experience!

Room Tip: Ask for a seaview room.
