“Consistently good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014

We always make time to go to this restaurant whenever we go to Polperro, Both the food and service are very good indeed and when you see the locals eating their Sunday lunch here, you know you've chosen the best place. Over the years, we have never had a disappointing meal here. Look out for the new shocking pink parasols on the terrace, where you can eat outdoors if you want. The meals are home cooked and the staff are so friendly that it's a real "Home from Home".

“Excellent food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 May 2014

Recently stopped off at the Polmary for a meal and drinks with my partner and family. We have been here previously and can strongly recommend the standard of food and the friendly service. Especially nice to eat out on the patio on a nice sunny day. Prices are reasonable and all food is home made and delicious - not the usual microwaved frozen rubbish that many comparable restaurants and pubs serve up. Cod and chips are fresh and cooked properly, jacket potatoes are huge with generous fillings, cajun chicken is properly spiced and the home made chilli con carne is amazing. And if you like seriously hot and tasty food try the dynamite chilli but only if you are brave enough ! You have been warned ! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

“What a find - superb”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 May 2014

We very nearly missed the treat of eating at the Polmary Restaurant.........as had headed somewhere else, that somewhere else had unfriendly staff who seemed to have a crisis on their hands at the time, lack of staff, and enduring a smashing time with bottles, the cracks already showing under the pressure of insufficient staff and helpings, they advised us what we wanted was off the menu! With little time to spare found ourselves at the Polmary, what a bonus! Fabulous warm welcome, drinks came quickly as did the wonderful generous portions of crab salad and a portion of dog biscuits for Sam the dog, fabulous touch. Our only regret was time didn't permit us to stay longer and enjoy more alfresco drinks on what was a lovely sunny Good Friday on a sun trap of a terrace - we will intentionally head back to see you in the future! A, K, R and Sam the Dog!

“Simply fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2014 via mobile

I have absolutely no negatives about thus restaurant, other than the fact we didnt find it till the last day of our holiday. Food was amazing, and portion sizes generous. The owners were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend!
